Clancee or Lower?

Which rookie do we think will be upgraded to the seniors temporarily? I'd think Lower would be a shoe in, but Clancee is no slouch either. Surely Buc or Casey would not really under consideration at this point..

I don't think they're taking bets on this. Lower wasn't recruited to be on the rookie list. And he will have an impact this year.

Lower is a certainty to be first rookie upgraded. I would think he will be in side Round 1 for sure

I don't necessarily agree that Pearce is a 'spud', but him and Shepheard would be fighting it out for the 6th and 7th promotion in my opinion.

Lower has the first spot hands down.

After seeing him today definitely Lower. Needs to stop the odd wayward kick but shows plenty of endeavour and is very solid and he laid some good tackles.

I am not in the Clancee is a spud club but Lower will get the nod.

lower looks a barlow clone really, although im certainly not saying he will have the impact. clancy looks like he could be a dominant wafl player or a bit part afl player, and that is mainly because he just seems too slow he reads the play well, but doesnt have the speed to back it up

I have no doubt at all that Lower will play in R1, and I'd be betting on him playing every game this season injuries permitting.

He was specifically drafted to be the tough, inside ball magnet we were missing and so far in the preseason he's making it look like another shrewd recruiting move.

Lower to be upgraded for sure. I believe that Roberts will develop into a good player in the waafl and dont be surprised if he makes it to the senior list with lower during the national draft next season. It is only injury that prevented him getting picked up in the national draft this season.

Roberts info has been quiet this pre-season, I hope to be reading good things about his WAFL form and that he can stay as far away from the injury list as possible, i'm very intrigued to see what all the fuss is about this kid.

Yeah, Roberts info has been a bit light on so far this offseason. I think it's probably been a case of managing him through his first AFL preseason, the last thing we want is a soft tissue injury. He looked good in training when the team came over here for the Adelaide game though.

But I think I've talked him up enough to make up for the lack of actual news. The guy just looks like an AFL footballer, and everyone will see what the fuss is about soon enough.

Obviously all that running is working, because his player profile on the Fremantle website says he has 'elite speed and endurance'. Not sure I would have had his endurance as being elite back when he was drafted.

Win! He showed a lot at the game and has put the fear of his wayward fist in to the hearts and minds of eagles players and fans everywhere (thanks to a K.O. spoil that left an eagles player a crumpled heap on the floor)

He is also very vocal and we need vocal players like him and Mayne to help out, direct movement, call for the ball and generally make some noise (mentioned this in the Freo vs Weagles thread but the thread has since de-railed)
