still have 1994 collingwood essendon game on vcr tape. Friday night game had everything. Massive brawl during the warm ups followed by a high scoring spiteful match. Sav rocca smashed into the goal umpire who inturn got squashed against the goal post. Rocca would then do a serious injury and James McCartney went to full forward in his place. Big crowd tony shaw kicked a goal in the last from 30 out. Just made the distance haha

Fox Footy yesterday had 2 crackers. The Ablett-Salmon shoot out in 93 where the Bombers prevailed 23.18 to 19.18 with Ablett booting 14 and Salmon 10. They also showed the Eagles vs Footscray duel at the WACA where West Coast smashed them with Sumich kicking 13 goals.

Yet back then the players, commentators, and crowd knew what the whistle was being blown for.

These days no-one has a clue what is about to be called when the whistle is blown. Or why the umpires ignore the obvious frees and let the maul continue.

Fox Footy has been showing that St Kilda vs Swans game at the SCG where Plugger kicked 11 and the Saints won after being 8 goals down. It's the one where he nearly killed the pensioners behind the goals and put Peter Caven in hospital. He was the scariest person on the planet at the time.

Carlton v Geelong 1995 at Princes Park was a classic, fox gives it a fair run, remember it having a huge build up at the time, more so than the grand final where everyone knew the Blues would maul them.
