I don't mind it, they are usually hiding decent loot from what I can gather. Outside of that I figured the zombies would come after those still in the storm.

Yeah the ones at the asylum dropped a ray gun

I feel like fortnite will lose more people to this than pubg lots of arcade style flipping around, grappling hooks and zombies right up the fortnite alley just without building.

Messed around in a few games really need to turn my sound on though :p

Well be good to **** around in some squads later
No way. Fortnite still has the unique aspect of building, still has the fancy colours, still has the dumb skins, the emotes, Playground Mode. Kids will still prefer that over a grittier, more tactical battle royale.

PUBG, on the other hand, is a dead game when Black Ops drops. Blackout is basically a crisper, more optimized, faster version of it.

Most people playing cod aren't playing pubg anymore anyway, pc open beta in full swing and pubg numbers are holding steady at a touch over a mil per day.
Add to that the chat in the cod beta is absolute cancer full of 12 year olds or people with a mental age of 12.
A lot of people hate the building in fortnite but still play because they dont like pubg and there is nothing else.

I doubt pubg sees a massive drop everyone who would leave has already left.

For me I'm not going to pay $80 for a br game that's the main thing fortnite has going for it it's free

PUBG is dead with Oceania server matchmaking still bugged.

Steam player counts are not realistic as PUBG is one of the few games that includes China in player counts

what does china have to do with the fact that the pubg numbers literally haven't moved since the COD beta started?

I do agree that a lot have jumped ship and thus COD players are not affecting current PUBG numbers,

I just disagree it will hold steady. Only pre-order Beta and an open Beta that a lot missed as it was only mentioned in a tweet. Once released I reckon PUBG is dead as per the declining trend.

PUBG will maintain a healthy community for some time but it’s time in the sun is truly over. I’m not sure BOPS4 would directly impact PUBG numbers on PC or Fortnite across all platforms but I'm sure the continued saturation of an already ever increasingly saturated market will eventually have a compounded affect on all.

One of my regular squad members played the Beta and loved it, and now we’ve all bought it.

When it starts we’re swapping over. PUBG is currently impossible to play well from Australia unless you are really really good - the SEA servers are the only ones where you can reliably get a game and the lag often kills you in the end.

Historically CoD is not a PC title. Can't see how it kills PUBG to be honest...

Cod WW2 peak of all time 56,174. Peak last 24 hours 4,370.
PUBG peak last 24 hours 955k.

In the last week PUBG has probably had more players than the entire lifespan of the last 4 CoD titles added together.

Pubg will stick around but wont be the juggernaut it was at the start of the year.

COD will make a dent and so will Battlefield (i do believe they are doing a Battle Royale mode?) If they do, given their experience with large maps and given their experience with PC gaming as apposed to COD, could be the downfall for PUBG in Aus.

The fact that Oc matchmaking doesn't actually work will be the downfall of PUBG in Aus long before any other game takes over

Battlefield is copping a shit ton of flak right now and their BR looks pretty weak. 64 player squads, no duo matches, no solo matches plus the inclusion of tanks plus the rumour that BR mode will cost an additional fee to unlock above the base game.
As of right now I don't know anyone who is actually buying BF5 which has pretty much been a religion for us spanning the previous 4 titles.

Valuation of $200mil plus until they messed with the site and everyone went to Reddit on an organised "Leave Digg Day".

Sold for $500k a few years ago.

This.
We have been making do in NA, AS & SEA for the time being...

Hopefully these upcoming changes can make OC great again.
Note quick match feature and uncoupling Erengal & Mirimar into a single option. These are designed to reduce queue times.
