The fact that Oc matchmaking doesn't actually work will be the downfall of PUBG in Aus long before any other game takes over
I still play for the social aspect, but it is not as fun as it used to be, because you can't play OC and get a squad of players that speak English so you can't coordinate, and the lag is bad.

This.
We have been making do in NA, AS & SEA for the time being...

Hopefully these upcoming changes can make OC great again.
Note quick match feature and uncoupling Erengal & Mirimar into a single option. These are designed to reduce queue times.
It is insane that you can select "All" for the maps and get a LONGER wait time than if you just select one map type.

Insane.

Valuation of $200mil plus until they messed with the site and everyone went to Reddit on an organised "Leave Digg Day".

Sold for $500k a few years ago.
Ok.

We should be comparing Digg.com to Battlefield then, not PUBG.

Funny, we used to look for a Call of Duty killer now people are looking for CoD to be a PUBG killer. Not gonna happen. Players either enjoy the gritty substance of PUBG or they prefer the faster pace arcade action style of CoD. If anything CoD provides a slightly more grown up alternate to Fortnite.

What's wrong with playing with this guy?!

Agree with this, the majority of people in the chat in cod were making fortnite jokes, but since fortnite don't reveal numbers it's hard to see the impact if any.

Nearly every BOPS4 game I started the chat had at least one person saying "dropping tilted". I only know this is a Fortnite thing because every one says it. I tried a couple "China number one!" but no one ever took the bait.

Anyone have an idea of what the Blackout map size is in comparison to other BR games? I reckon it's quite small, and feels small when in a chopper.

On the flip side you'd think they'll be able to add a map or two.

Nobody can confirm the Blackout map size but felt similar to Fortnite...
I think 3x3km is the popular estimate post beta, so inbetween Fortnite and PUBG Sanhok

Having an absolute blast with this. Already getting sick of PUBG, this could pretty much be the nail in the coffin personally, can't see myself going back.
As my now ex-girlfriend once said to me, once you go black you can never go back.

PUBG had its time in the sun. Will most likely go the way of H1Z1 now that the big AAAs are involved in the battle royale space.

I'm not saying Blackout is gonna fail but just because a AAA studio is involved does not make this game the Messiah of the genre.

Maybe time to temper your enthusiasm....

Prepare yourselves for dying behind cover with the client side hit detection being taken from the shooters POV, and if they have high ping.... Oh boy.

Stupid sweeping statement is stupid.
Engage your brain please.

Don't think anyone is going overboard but regardless I had very small amount of issues with this during the BETA.

Of they fix matchmaking and we can get Aussie servers going again, I’d be fine with PUBG. No need to swap over.

Explains why half the time I died it was because some bloke teleported 20-30 metres, not to mention that the Aus servers are hosted in America

Yeah, but you always have been a COD hater.

I haven't seen too many people say that PUBG is a better experience than the Blackout beta. You have big streamers like DrDisrespect (one of the few top guys on Twitch who even still streams Battlegrounds) who can't even stand playing PUBG for more than half an hour now that they've had a tease of Blackout. Even the comments section in the video you linked is filled with people saying that whatever connection issues the Blackout beta may have, it's still a smoother game. PUBG has you dying 5m behind walls, input lag, slow gameplay, awful vaulting system, terrible parachuting mechanics and glitches, aimbotters and hackers still infesting the game. But hey, if you want to keep playing that unoptimised mess then go for it.

PUBG will retain some of its fanbase but Fortnite and Blackout have and will overtake it as the better battle royale experiences, both from a gameplay and watchability standpoint.

Where do i start
hating on games has always been part of docs act and he has been hemorrhaging viewers ever since the thing with his wife. He will go wherever the viewers are and then hate on blackout as well, he does the same thing when he plays fortnite.

The stuff about pubg is spoken like someone who hasn't played for ages, i haven't seen a hacker in over 6 months, the gameplay is the gameplay that's what makes it different. The lag isn't even that bad anymore we play na and i haven't been killed behind cover for ages.

Fortnite will lose more players to cod than pubg will.

The main thing that shit me about blackout was the shooting, the guns are all over the shop when hipfired and like a laser with no recoil at all when ads. Can do a full spray into a spot the size of a 10c piece.

Battlefield is copping a shit ton of flak right now and their BR looks pretty weak. 64 player squads, no duo matches, no solo matches plus the inclusion of tanks plus the rumour that BR mode will cost an additional fee to unlock above the base game.
As of right now I don't know anyone who is actually buying BF5 which has pretty much been a religion for us spanning the previous 4 titles.

I didnt know this

I have bought all the BF's...if this is the case might give it a skip, which i never thought i would say

Well lets just say thank god im a console peasant and PUBG vs COD means nothing to me ;)
As someone who barely plays shooters but wants to give a decent battle royale game a go (hated fortnite, tried h1z1 because it was free but it was riddled with bugs), is this going to be worth getting?

I don't like COD at all but I really enjoyed the BETA and have preordered the game.

Depends if you're a CoD fan or not.
$70 or whatever this is going to retail for is a steep asking price if the BR mode is all you're interested in.
In the last few days it has been spotted that the Korean games rating board has just finished rating a PS4 version of PUBG which will no doubt launch at the same price as the Xbox version of around $20 to $30.

Thanks mate. Last one i played was Black Ops 2 on 360, so will be good to go back in fresh after a few years off!

Ahh yeah didn't really think of that. Will take a look at what else is in the game. I've always been a rather anti social gamer so never really looked into many online/multiplayer games. This one has no story right? Would be good to get onboard the PUBG train and see what it's like, but going by a lot of feedback i see online, it might disappoint me
