Was just watching the golf on channel nine and Mark Nicholas said Eddies dad passed away.

I felt like making a thread to give my condolences to Eddie and his family.

Condolences to the whole family and club who will be supporting him around this time.

94 years old. Eddie received the news during the first innings at yesterday's big bash according to the herald. His father sent him to the big bash telling him to get on with it after receiving the last rites on Friday.

Ninety four...a great innings and lovely he saw his lad guide the club through to a flag last year.

Certainly as a dad he turned out a really good man and passionate fighter in Eddie, so he must have been made of the right stuff himself.

Congratulations to his father for making it to 94, raising a great son and and being able to meet his grand kids, it's quite an achievement. Obviously along with that condolances to the family.
