Keeffey! As I joke with mates he'll be in the next team of the century :p Bring on 2013. Don't forget the Caff either

Or Wiiliams.

I think he slotted into the team nicely and took over a bit of Ball's hard inside work. But then he too was crueled by injury.

Williams did phenomenally well for our second picked rookie. No doubt he would've been a very useful in for us last night if he was available.

Really, really proud of the boys. We were totally screwed by injuries, but we still made the Prelim. You've got to be proud of that. It's been a rollercoaster of a season and I've loved going along on the ride.

Watch out for us next year, because we'll be damn near unstoppable if our injury problems go away! Side by Side in 2013!

It's been an exhausting year. Everything that could have gone wrong, did.
But I have been amazed at the way we dragged ourself off the canvas time, and time again. Even tonight you could see we were exhausted, with nothing left in the tank, yet we kept fighting. I am Immensely proud of the lads. Plenty of upside, we aren't done yet.

Well done lads, you have definitely earned your holiday. Enjoy.

(Please no fighting, molesting, o.d's, or embarrassing drunken mishaps in the off season)

Hit the nail smack on the head there!

Very frustrating that for most of the year we just couldn't win a trick! Especially last night, although taking nothing away from Sydney, we had NOTHING go our way at all, no matter how hard we tried, nothing seemed to work in our favour and that's the reason I was miffed about the game.

Considering all the hurdles we've faced this year I think we have had a pretty reasonable season.

Plenty of other sides that had similar runs with injuries etc fell away badly.

Bring on 2013.

So very proud of the boys. Would have loved them to make the Grand Final but honestly, they were just so tired from the Sydney game that they would have nothing left in the tank. It's such a positive to even make the Prelim with everything that has gone on this year from the coaching changes, injuries and so on. Good on ya boys, let's go one step further next year and win it. :)

I say this because the club had a funeral on Thursday.

This year was up and down. Average start, injuries, J-Mac, Travis Cloke Saga, it's been a full on year.

I reckon Nathan Buckley will learn from this, and look at preventing this crap next year. They looked down and out in the third quarter and perked up and dug in. I reckon next year will be a better one.

All things considered, I think we got to where we were meant to. So before you go ape poo at the loss, think of how hard it was to get there.

I can buy the Jmac argument and all that went with that, but we were ordinary all season compared to our 2010-11 output, and if anyone thinks the Cloke saga had an effect i call BS, most just used that as an excuse and we used lots of excuses this year, we had injurys as well but as i said in another thread, our 2011 worst was better than our 2012 best pretty much, the change of coach hurt us big time IMO.

And yes the glass half full guys will tell you w made top 4 etc etc etc, but we were 6 or 7 wins off our previous year and lost around 50 points of %, we went backwards in 2012 at an alarming rate.

We did go backwards but that's to be expected with a new coach and with all the youngsters we brought in and the amount of injuries. Had we not had the amount of injuries, we would have made top 2 for sure. Still, exciting times ahead.

Round 24 2011 - Geelong 149 v Pies 53.

IMO doubt our season would have been any better at all but probably worse under Malthouse. We'll never know so pointless to discuss it unless you wish to whinge for whinging sake. But no doubt you'll continue to try and derail threads with your petty agenda against the club and Bucks.

Time to move on and focus on what we have, not what we don't. Even Malthouse preached that.

Completely understand where you are coming from dude but I certainly hope the players are not satisfied with the year. Sentiment is for fans. The players must consider the year a failure and be determined to change the result next season.
