Good point. I’m not sure why some posters would want to get sidetracked with political issues, when there’s the perfect opportunity to give the Bombers a well deserved kicking.

Someone doesn’t want to see us win the flag.If more Essendon players test positive, which is looking increasingly likely with the amount of spitting and hugging McKenna did, they really should be disqualified from the competition this year.
I mean, we've isolated a potential superspreader. There's no reason to make the rest of the competition suffer because one club completely failed to manage an infected player properly. Just don't let them play.
My thoughts exactly. What an absolute sook that poster is. Completely ignores the location and population difference between WA and Victoria. Clearly looking at Victoria with glee.
Season isn’t in danger. The rigorous testing ensures any cases will be found and dealt with. They can add extra games in during the week if needed. That poster should be more hysterical.
I’d say it’s been the morons who have us back where we are today. And our moronic state government are still allowing morons to demonstrate, completely ignoring all the rules set by our moronic state government. Yet our moronic government is more than happy to ruin people's lives and restrict businesses from being able to trade.
I love Melbourne but ffs, we easily have the worst Government and more morons than any other state

The issue is given he has picked it up somewhere from his family or friends, if it happens to another couple of clubs, they cant keep postponing games and giving clubs 2 weeks byesMy thoughts exactly.
I’m sure the AFL has prepared for this situation and can make up the game at some point.
Out of control means you cannot slow the spread regardless of actions taken. In Australia I don’t think Coronavirus ever got out of control. We were probably just days away from it, but evidently our restrictions were able to stop the spread more quickly than we even thought was possible. Will tighter restrictions be effective in stopping the spread? I would’ve thought so.They are all community transmission.. so yes he is correct.. it's out of control. Months ago .. all cases were returned travellers. The mode of transmission is more important than the raw number of people getting it. Example - 10k people coming from America Test positive... is not as bad as 1k people getting it within the community.. Why? Because community transmission means there are a sh*t load of people walking around with it, that either don't know they have it, or don't do anything about it.

Essendon players being tested again on Tuesday.
It isn't an antibody based test. It's PCR, looking for covid DNA.Don't think they could rule people unaffected so quickly, takes a few days to a week to develop enough antibodies to be detected and very variable from case to case.
The testing is not a simple black and white definitive. Like so many others there are positives, negatives, false positives, false negatives etc. Even well known, long utilised medical tests have their parameters changed/altered around what determines a positive test depending on the levels used and set by authorities and labs involved.SA's only case in months was a guy who had been in England over a month prior and quarantined. But was positive over a month later.
Didn’t all states have protests?
No, the testing happens on site.Off site ?
Trust me, it doesn't take kicking your mob out of the competition to prevent you from winning a flag. You haven't won a final since what, 2004? And you only just scraped past Sydney and Fremantle this year.Someone doesn’t want to see us win the flag.

Having Corona or being in contact with someone who did and then visiting family/friends or going to work. Unbelievably stupid and selfish.
Just drop Essendon from the comp
Conor McKenna?Someone doesn’t want to see us win the flag.
People say about rigorous testing and AFL should be ok but bag Daniel Andrews. Go figure.
Seen this on a few boards. People taking glee and using it as opportunity to gloat when people get corona. I am glad I'm somewhere with no active cases but I don't see it as an opportunity to lay into somewhere that doesn't.
If one positive was to derail the season there was no point proceeding. We can't hide from it forever, time has been used to improve hospital capacity, precautions in our every day life and processes to deal with positives in the workplace put in place and we move on.
Just drop Essendon from the comp

I don't want the virus to spread outside of your club though, because that would likely lead to the season being cancelled. Continue the competition without Essendon.
