Nah it's not a bad injury. Apparently it's an injury for max 8 weeks without surgery.

If it is "plantaris" like was said in presser, and provided it fully ruptured, he will play in a month. When ruptured it's done, and the Achilles/calf has no issue returning to normal function quite quickly. It's a useless muscle, and only problematic when partially strained as it causes pain, then it's 8weeks

I said this in another thread but It really is sad for Oscar. Whether at the Eagles or not I really wish him all the best but his body is just falling apart. Both his shoulders are partially ****ed, 1 knee is proper ****ed and the other one a bit dicky as well on top of today's injury. Even before today's injury we have already been able to see his body just isn't going to allow him to reach his potential.

I just don't see how he will ever be a 50+ goal a year forward again. No matter what I want the best for him. If he does go to Brisbane It's hard to see them not dropping the dollar value on the offer and it's almost impossible to see WCE upping our offer. If he goes I just don't see how we get band 1 compensation.

It's simple. It is his restricted status.

If it is not band 1, we match. I don't think Brisbane can win the flag this year due to their forward line, and I think they know it.

They just need 1 good year of Oscar for it to be worth it. They have a very good S&C, and perhaps the warmer weather will help him.

With Lions supply he could easily be a 40-45 goal forward.

Because we suck and we're willing to let Oscar go, two things you can't say of Crom/RT.

The idea is Allen costs only salary

The only other guy is JuH and he's linked with Sydney. I'd say from the culture they've cultivated they'd rather a stand up guy like oscar over Jamar. Mainly because they went through that scenario with fev back in the day and they're a smart enough organisation to not make the same mistake twice.

Its a bit like saying "Why get married to her, you should go and ask Sydney Sweeney out on a date first". Sometimes you just gotta like aim for what you can get in life. Oscar Allen is what Brisbane can get. Sydney Sweeney/Riley Thilthorpe just isnt in their zone
