Out of all the draftees from last year, you could easily argue Jobe has shown the most.

Looks a class above in the WAFL and still only a young KPP. Hope we get to see him at AFL level soon. To keep him hungry and just get a taste of anything.

Jonty Faull, who the tigers chose ahead of Jobe has already played 9 games for their rebuilding AFL side. He is 6 months older and 5kgs heavier however.

there is the actual article and there is how brain processes that article, which is "Harley and Jobe want to go home"

Depends how one defines medium term, I take it to mean 6-8 weeks, add the standard 1-2 weeks training before playing it is basically end of season. At worst it's 12 weeks.

Don't think it's something that would prevent him doing a pre-season but hey this is the Eagles who blatantly lied about Yeo not being out for much longer than they said originally. I was told it was a fear of season for Yeo but club said nah 5 weeks when he did it. Here we are.

Oscar just needs to wrapped up and be given a goodbye tour, it is what it is. All the best to him!

Aslong as we get Pick 2 with Lions, Sydney or whoever making sure it is Band 1.

As for Yeo, there were always reports early here in this forum he would be out until June/July, for mine, I think he is another that needs to be wrapped in cotton wool and just let the kids get more opportunity.

At what point does it become obvious to all except the cerebrally challenged that Reid is not going to sign on?

A. End of bye weekend '25
B. End of season '25
C. End of bye weekend '26
D. End of season '26

Gun to my head I'm going with B

Bonus option he is delisted or traded before 2027 deadline to finalise lists.

Apparently Jobe is super shy or something, from all the drivel that they say on the podcast with Thumper.

Not particularly surprised. The club. Clearly rates him or we wouldn't have been so set on him come draft time.

you guys know that just because those 3 signed on today doesn't mean that Jobe isn't going to, or that his management isn't in communication with the club, right?

...right?

Of course not silly

Clearly means Harley is leaving so they have to start spending his salary cap money

Please..if you would, kindly pick one of the options i presented or offer your own appraisal of Mr Reid's contract conundrum and likelihood of him signing on past 2026.

Humbly i request you refrain from offering asinine responses that do nothing to further the discussion.

Don't read the comments on FB and Instagram then....My fave was "why did we re-sign Greggo, we don't even play him anyway"

Heard Jobe doesn't like flying. Terrified of planes.

I heard he’s bought a house in the southern suburbs and enrolled his kids in Santa Maria College.

TBH it is a little strange to extend someone who was taken in the 4th round and is yet to debut. 3 years is a long time to commit to a late pick especially with many academy kids coming through the system over the next couple years. I guess though that basically all draftee's in recent times have been given extensions and after this year we are probably going to return to lower levels of list turnover so its fine. Greggo will be one of the few [or the only one?] to be extended without having a run in the seniors first though.
