• Tylar Young (Richmond) arrived at West Coast in exchange for Pick 38.
• Deven Robertson (Brisbane) has agreed to join West Coast and will be signed on to the rookie list after being delisted by Brisbane

Out:

• Oscar Allen joins Brisbane as a FA - West Coast receive Pick 2 as compensation
• Liam Ryan and a 2027 R3 pick has been traded to St Kilda for a 2026 R2 pick
• Campbell Chesser has been traded to Carlton for Pick 41
• Jayden Hunt announces retirement
• Jack Petruccelle, Callum Jamieson and Loch Rawlinson not offered new contracts
• Coen Livingstone joins the list of players not offered a new contract

My mate wants me to ask if we would be interested in Arie Shoenmaker from the Saints. Just got delisted.

I remember I wanted him later in the draft a few years back. 20yr old, booming left foot kick and projected as a similar type to Hurn at the time. 60m drop punts are an average kick for him. Wouldve been great for goal kickouts. Was a bit of a bad boy though (Like Darling was).

My answer is we dont have too many list spots and probably want mids.

I don't know anything about Cumming as a player but I don't want us to draft him specifically because I want to avoid anywhere from 3 to 15 years worth of jizz jokes.

Imagine if we'd also recruited Jack Ough?

Darling was a bit of a lad. Schenmaker was (is?) a lot of an absolute tool.

I couldn't care less if Ah Chee wants to get to Adelaide and/or we weren't interested previously. Now that the PSD is even a vague chance, we should be working overtime to convince him.

And if we drastically improve, we will lose all those added rookie spots. In a few years we will have to delist quite a few. We might find a group to delist though.

I don't know that, i am just speculating about why we are so cold on him. The fact that Clarke shut it down so quickly and doesn't even want to make a phone call to ask Ah Chee what he thinks about the situation makes me think there is something we don't know.

Good good. This is one of those Cale Morton/Kane Lucas kinds of situations. If it works out then great, if it doesn't then who cares cos we paid nothing for him, but with the position the club's in I assume Robertson will be around for a handful more of years than those other blokes. Brisbane cost themselves pick 30, our second round pick if they'd just traded him at the end of 2023.

Cos Ah Chee made his mind up the first time when he chose Adelaide over us. And with the way his manager and the Crows have carried on over the last 24 hours they only have eyes for each other.

What Adelaide and Ah Chee are doing this year, is exactly what we should have done last year with Liam Baker.

Except for the slight issue of Richmond holding pick 1 in the PSD last year

We also stood to lose Jack Graham as a FA signing because he was the buy one get one free part of the Baker trade

That's a serious group to get some prospects from.

Apart from the top 4, are the others draftable?
Perhaps some Jake Catons among them because we can't take them all. Thankfully we might be able to accommodate the decent ones if we continue to have the 4 extra rookie spots.

I doubt that's the case it's more we are after a certain age profile and don't want to entertain long contracts for older players. Nobody knows what Adelaide has actually offered him but as a guestimation Brisbane offered him 3 years on fair pay 450-550k. So whatever Adelaide offered him was longer and for more pay. Now due to him entering into the PSD it's estimated he'll demand a significantly higher front loaded contract of up to 1 million a year for his first two years to deter other teams from taking him in the PSD.
