You don't think we already did and are now revisiting it due to the change in circumstances?
Why would we need to revisit it? What could change? Did we think he was never going to have a knock again? The DD should have already covered this scenario otherwise its shit DD.

People are "having a sook" because he got concussed 5 days ago, yet again, and is one more knock away from being medically retired. Brisbane has just made that our problem.

Anyone who keeps forgetting that point is an idiot ^

Burning pick 19 on someone who's career cold be over next year, or the year after at any given contest is a silly move.
Hell , we burned a three year deal on yeo whose career is over, we renegotiated waterman’s deal when we didn’t have to and he missed most of the year injured. , we burned a list spot and two years on tim Kelly , resigned friggin Tom Cole..

Easy to see the end of career can happen anytime to anyone…. I’d have more faith in starc playing more games next year than any of the above.

Would anyone have traded 19 for Starcevich?

They helped you guys with one hand while they wanked Brisbane off with the other.

You have no risk, Brisbane are popping ****ing champagne
And then they add insult to injury by saying that it's likely non-finalists won't have any FA compo diluted in the future.

This benefits nobody but Brisbane.

Hope we pull a sneaky on them.

The tests for concussion are interesting . You should Google SCAT5 SPORT CONCUSSION ASSESSMENT TOOL 5TH EDITION how they do it considering they can only really diagnose brain trauma physically until after you are dead
I'd prefer not to pop SCAT into my search engine, thanks.

Some of us just prefer to wait for the confirmation, it's not a contest to see who's right. You get ridiculed for your mansplaining everything to the nth degree as if no-one else could possibly understand anything without your input. Clown.
Anyone using the term mansplaining in a non ironic way is the real clown

I got harangued and ridiculed by a gang of muppets on here for immediately calling BS on the "He wasn't concussed" ruse when the Lions first claimed that at the start of the week. Some people are so gullible. It was a very, very obvious lie.
Have you ever had a cocussion test SCAT5

I think on the open market in a matched free agent so go sort out a trade scenario, 19 (pushing into the 30s) is about right.

How it came about and the fact Brisbane are B2B premiers make it a bit gross, but mid to high second round pick is a good deal, which is where our freebie will land once we’ve had a first round that goes for weeks.

Its is questionnaires and symptoms recognition. Most have to be verified verbally by the patient.
A concussion test isn’t hey mate how are you feeling, tell me about your symptoms. That’s just patently false.

Don Pyke was speaking with Duff yesterday and spoke about packaging up pick 19 with hawks pick to get another pick inside the top 10.

I’m not sure if Cal Twomey has good intel on the pick to be offered or is he just setting his own narrative. Because he believes the assistant pick should have been forced to be traded

Sure, if he wasn’t one head knock from retirement I’d agree with you

I won't have to bookmark it cos I'm sure you'll keep reminding us all, every step of the way.

Does it not bother you that Geelong haggles over pick 88 whilst we hand out draft picks like a Pez dispenser?

One team contends almost every year and one has won 11 games in four seasons.

They have got their draft and trade staff right. We haven’t.

Seems ridiculous to create a new pick when the answer was something we requested the first time.

Giving us Starcevich without dilution of the Allen pick gives us assistance without affecting anyone.

Anyone wondering why the first round continues to be 40 picks long only has to look at that decision.

Maybe
Pick 20 and Starcevich
For
Pick 23 and 24 (and no Annabel bid and Dev as DFA)

Other steak knives picks thrown in
Reminds me of the grief cycle last year when we traded with Carlton. Alas we enter the bargaining phase. More likely clarkey gives lions the steak knives if anything.

Who knew we would replace vozzo and ROB with an even bigger pushover

Fair point

Dodoro also did the same and it didn't work out at all though

Hopefully the Starcevich deal is full of triggers.

Oliver is such a 50-50 boom or bust trade. Either he enjoys the change and performs at 80% of his glory days, providing the grunt and protection for our young mids over the next few years, or he goes the way of JUH (which, sadly, I can see happening given his history of poor attitude).
The fact Melb told him to go find a new home and are willing to pay 700k a season to get rid of him, when they're already losing Trac and May, speaks volumes. And that's on top of the antics that have played out in public the last few years, so imagine how much more there is under the hood.

The dream of having a disciplined Oliver next to HReid, a fit Yeo, a freed up Kelly, Macarthy, and Hewett, almost gives me hope. Still lean towards a no though.

Exactly. Instead they’ve dropped a wad of 50’s into Brisbane’s pocket.
