The last line on JUH’s move to the GC on the dogs website

“Today’s trade means the Bulldogs’ contractual relationship with Ugle-Hagan ends and no ongoing obligations exist. ”

season 5 what an odd thing to say GIF

Geez there’s a bit of jealousy how quickly Richmond have and Melbourne and potentially Essendon are going to be able to rebuild by trading a few senior players while we languish at the bottom having carried ours until retirement age
Richmond’s top 10 in the B&F had an average age of about 28, what rebuild?

Also these clubs weren’t pushing these players out, they wanted to leave.

Ok, here's the question is JUH better than Walter?
As someone touted as a generational forward i was never overly impressed by JUH
On the flip side I've seen next to nothing at all so I cant say who's better or projecting better

They are completely different players. Walter ‘s spot is taken by Ethan read, who looks very good, and Ben king.

Not sure how GC get both Patterson & Unwald without picks 7, 8 & a F1

Who knows the bidding rules and can he arsed to do the math to figure out what they can do if we bid 1 vs 2 on them?
TLDR - It depends on what they get back, but if it's 24 and 28, if they go into points deficit and do some other minor wrangling with 15 they will get there but lose their other academies.

Can draft day trades be completed before Pick 1? As in can GC split their picks in the teens before we bid eating up the picks?

Richmond's trades last year were highly opportunistic. There's a big difference between Richmond's top 10 players this year versus our top 10 players last year. They'll be alright.

Yep. They can cover Uwland + Patterson or Uwland, Addinsall + Murray.

Can only be answered in 2026 if JUH pulls is socks up.
JUH is a more athletic CHF player, highly athletic and very good to complement what GC have in King who stays at FF.
Walter while very early in his career is more a big bodied KPF crash packs type and taking big marks, he also has great defensive pressure. More a JK type.

Agreed but he jumped pretty quickly when a team showed interest. Probably because he gets to stay in Melbourne

I reckon they nudge became a little firmer.

'You are free to explore your options'
'Nah I am good - ready to tough it out!'
'If an opportunity was to come your way, we won't stop you...'
'I'm ready for the glory days at The Saints! TDK! Woo! Here we go!'
'We have cleared out your locker Jack, it's time to go.'
'Oh I seeeee...'

Im still confused, where does JUH fit in? He doesn't have the utility of say a Cameron so what's all this in aid of. Maybe getting him on the straight and narrow and trading at a profit in a year or 2 or is moving king on the goal ? Kings their best forward right?

Generous, they did well from a mass exodus of their club as any club would have with the quality of players departing.

What’s the difference between the top 10’s?

They have midfielders, which helps.

The Viccos will come for King again, as they do. So he may not be a forever player - probably more why they view Walter a 'must keep'.

JUH is a low risk/high reward - The Dogs were a highly motivated seller who were planning to sack him. He may never play a game for the Suns.

....but if he was to sort his shit out, I think they could find a spot for him across half forward.
