That's a nonsensical agreement.

The cash rewards is to the no 1 for being the top prospect for their year. A reward for the effort and determination they have put in so far.

IF Patterson is considered the top prospect AND WC select him, then he should be more that deserving of the reward. Because we have deemed him the best.
If GC match the bid, it ****en unfair to Patterson to have the cash taken off him and given to our next selection.

P1 gets the cash end of story. No need for additional complications

It clearly hinders clubs bidding on players.

That along with that stupid medal named after another Victorian.

How about an award named after a non-vic that played their career outside of Victoria….

Hayward seems a handy role player.

Florent dead set spud.

Reidy and Chesser could be anything from delist territory to role player. Jury still out but its not horrible by any means.

Gives off 2019 saints vibes when they got Hill/Ryder/Howard/Butler/Jones. They had an uptick in the COVID year immediately after but been mediocre since. Hard to see Blues making the 8.

It's well reported that Chesser will carry foot pain for his career. Not great if run is your prime weapon.

This was my favourite part:

holding firm on Callum Ah Chee is a win at this stage. Does he still want to leave and take the risk of 13 clubs picking him before the Crows have a selection?

I guess crazier things have happened, but his loser agent seems pretty pissed off at Brisbane and Ah Chee, coming off a solid season for a premiership side, is at the right point of his career to cash in on a big contract. I have a really hard time taking unders to play another year in Brisbane when he can get 5 years at Adelaide or some other club that didn’t just get finished screwing him over during the trade period.

Very likely they are calling it a win for Brisbane to lose Ah Chee for nothing.

Pick 1 gets $10 000 dollar nab portfolio bonus . Pick 1 would be the player coming to our club . It would say we dont rate you to Dursma if we didnt pick him #1 and start him off disgruntled before we even nominate him at pick #4 . Sends the wrong message . By all means use pick 2 to nominate academy players .

If a pro footballer can't handle that, then is he even the right guy for us? I don't think these guys care about $10k (or we just get Hungry Jacks to endorse them for $10k worth of promo).
