I’m not sure that’s happening otherwise a possible 3 way trade between GWS, Dockers and Cats to secure Cameron was missed ..

I think that is what will transpire. Remember trading doesn't start until Wednesday. These agreements are in-principle at the moment so might be each party getting their ducks in a row first to complete a 3 way trade.
Hope I'm wrong but gut tells me that's where this is headed.

Where does Hogan fit at GWS?

Even with Cameron leaving they have Finlayson, Riccardi & Himmelberg as forward options. Now on potential he should be as good as them, if not better, but he hasn't looked like it in recent years. Finlayson and Hogan would be a very inconsistent forwardline.

Knowing Freo’s luck, Hogan comes out and kickes 50 goals next year

They will switch Hogan to defence where he will become an All Australian (like Croad, McPharlin and Tarrant before him)

Ditching Hogan, even if they have to pay part of his salary, will free up a lot of cap space.
Don't be surprised if they pinch a couple of the names floated around here as players we'd love to grab (Clarke, Narkle, even make a play for Cripps 2021).

Beating us at the trade table is their measure of success, after all.

Hogan deal done in principle; GWS and Fremantle agreeing a 1st round pick Hogan that is received from Geelong for J.Cameron; both clubs open to pick swap (Freo 2nd for x2 GWS 3rds) as well.

Both clubs working with Geelong (i.e. Freo trying to effectively recycle their pick 12 and future 2nd to Geelong for Clark and Ratugolea).

If Geelong are able to agree, it will go through Wed morning.

Bit lost here Dylan. 1st rounder for Hogan?

Woke up feeling dangerous today, might call in AFL trade radio and educate these "Journos". Might also hang up on them, circa 2012 (Terry Wallace).

Also woke up feeling a little extra dangerous, might mess around and jump on the Geelong board and tell some more campaigners to move along.

Straight up naughty

Only reason the continually beat us at the trade table is because they are constantly finishing bottom 8 and is top 4. Excited too see wce bring in some talented youth, a bit hard to do when how have pick 15 + every year :(

We're targeting alex witherden, whats he worth?

Article says we’re looking at him as a Hurn replacement. I thought we had one of those and his name was Josh Rotham.

Apparently Darren Jolly played for the Eagles according to the article about Hickey to Swans in The West.

Witherden is fine as a player. He's handy and AFL quality for sure.

My early thought is just don't really see a possibility of getting him without overpaying. He's contracted and highly rated. Lions aren't trade pushovers.

Bit of a stupid target IMO  Our midfield depth seems to once again be a low priority for the club.
