finger points the eastern states and now he gets a taste of what it's like himself

further McGowan didn't learn from over east, with the security guard having a second job as an uber driver

He’s been happy to laud it over the other states including other Labor states. Iirc he even had advice for Dan on how to manage hotel quarantine workers.

Wonder if Gladys will offer some advice.

Ha ha, I bought some masks a couple of weeks ago - saw them in Woolies when I was looking for something else. I said to the checkout lady that if we had an outbreak here there would be a rush on them, so I may as well get some to stash away. She said "I didn't even know we had them". Bet they haven't got any left now.

but do you have enough toilet paper to see you through to next year?

Liked your post but I think he would be referring to the tally nation wide which would be close. Its not 100% safe in retaining covid within the walls of a hotel but its better/safer than home isolation.

Oh I don’t doubt he was talking about the whole country but take Dan’s **** up out and considering the amount of the virus we’ve imported into this country our hotel quarantine as a whole has been quite stable. Not exactly a sieve as our resident COVID alarmist described it.

South Australia Police and SA Health are monitoring closely the situation in Western Australia after a hotel quarantine security guard in Perth tested positive to COVID-19, sending much of the state into a five-day lockdown. The possible spread of COVID-19 in Western Australia is of particular concern.
This situation is volatile and changing rapidly, the South Australia State Coordinator Grant Stevens strongly urges all people from South Australia contemplating or intending to travel to Western Australia today; or in the coming days, to very seriously consider whether that travel is essential.
Further, those people who are holidaying or travelling in Western Australia should consider returning to South Australia as soon as possible.
South Australia Police to have a presence at the airport to ensure all people entering the state from interstate have submitted a cross border travel application. This will ensure a record is maintained of those people entering the state, so if there is another outbreak, they can be contacted.

According to McGowan he worked two 12 hour shifts one on 26th and one on 27th Jan and now you tell me he he is a Uber driver as well?

You are right though, if the info is correct these Premiers simply do not learn. They all think their quarantine system is water tight and you have to wonder what they do at these National Cabinet Meetings. Two jobs for a Quarantine Hotel security guard is a real no no.

It depends how bad things get but this is likely to be the UK variant so...

Adelaide United due to play Perth Glory at Coopers Stadium this Friday. Wonder if that will happen?
On the same night Perth Wildcats due to play NZ Breakers in Perth. Wonder if that will go ahead?
Perth Scorchers were due to host a BBL final this week in Perth. SEVEN are reporting that this game is now likely to remain in Canberra.

Jancinda might not let the Breakers back into NZ.

If employees and arrivals at the medihotels are being tested frequently, and procedures are better/tighter than what they were, and since we've not had community transmission in SA, then why subject the community to compulsory QR scanning along with other restrictions such as crowd capacities in restaurants and sports, etc ..? Why not have these conditions outlined, in place and in readiness to be implemented immediately whenever SA Health/Police sound out a compulsory compliance if a case gets out of hand?
In a football context:
We have Peter Ladhams and Scott Lycett playing in our best 22, so why should we keep Sam Hayes? There's no spot for him in the best 22 since we've got our fitness staff doing everything they can to keep Ladhams and Lycett and fit and playing. So why use up a list spot for him?

Sounds a bit stupid then doesn't it?

We have the QR scanning set up so its much easier to trace where people have been if the virus manages to get out of the quarantine system.

NBL game is already postponed
That was probably postponed because of Breakers players reporting feeling unwell after the game here in Adelaide.

Adelaide Giants have been in WA for the last week. Next series is scheduled against Sydney Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully they boys and support staff do not have to go into isolation.

Capitalism hey?
Yeah, nah. Capitalism was lobbying the government to force people to work for cheap as they do with the backpackers.
Unionism said, nope that’s not right and ‘magically’ the pay and conditions appear.

It's more basic supply and demand. Economics bro. Where was your dimwitted NUW man pre COVID? Enjoying a sensibly priced banana probably.

If the capitalism stuck to its own rules you’d be right. Workers would also be paid far more.
It’s doesn’t though, as we all know. They take the profits and come crying for handouts for the losses, over and over!
They also have their puppets fix the game for them.

Americans trying to beat the citizens of the United States of America in a race to be the stupidest campaigners on the planet.
There is more to come, much more. Trump and his cronies are planning to overturn the sitting government and form their own by early March. That’s why so many gun toting Republicans are sticking by him. I have read some chilling stuff, really chilling.
