I have just heard Donald Trump say during his election rally that the US should scale back it's testing. The more you test the more people you find out there was Trump's reasoning. Of course the more you find out there the worse it looks for Donald Trump's election prospects.

Trump says roll back the testing despite an upsurge in cases since the opening of the US economy in early June.

The head shaking thing was there were people cheering and applauding as he was saying it.

They are heading for oblivion.

It's hard to believe.
Is there no end to this guy's f**kwittery:

US President Donald Trump says he ordered authorities to slow down the rate of coronavirus testing because it was adding to the number of COVID-19 infections being recorded.

Technically, he's correct.

Usually, this is the best kind of correct, however in this instance, it's not.

His supporters are as dumb as him

Looks like Donald and Clive Palmer were both wrong about this one...

Essendon are in a world of pain. Their whole backline trained with the Irish guy and who knows who else.
The rate of infection and death in the U.K. was as high as the U.S. They went into lockdown late and didn't contact trace soon enough. I am very lucky to be here considering I was born in the U.K. and grew up in N.Y.

I thought comparing things like having to work and get food and supplies is different to going on a march because of some sh*t happening in America.

Some things you gotta wear and some things you don't.

Anyway I tried to explain myself so yes, probably best to leave it here.

Ok but it's not just about shit going on in America

Taking advice from whoever does the concussion testing at Geelong Cats?

Wow, was always amusing that Americans required a laugh track on TV shows but clearly you guys also need a laugh track to understand when someone's making a joke.

Yeah? How many protests organised for here by the American BLM before George Floyd? Ah yeah sure but it's not about America. Also, amazing how the same people telling us the virus is the worst thing in the world suddenly act as if it only infects people based on their political views when it's something they want to go virtue signaling about but then expect everyone else to still listen to them after. Ship sailed when the protests went ahead.

If you're referring to the 'less testing means less cases' remark, it's not the first time he's said it. And the reaction from the crowds was cheers and applause, not laughter.

The US is in a mess due to lack of leadership. Australia has taken care of their citizens while in the USpolitics has taken precedence over science. The leadership censored the CDC and was slow to act.

I would also say that the emphasis on racial equality due to a sickening event is actually a positive. BLM is just a reminder that we are all in this together for various reasons. I for one hope for a lot of good to come out of this.
Also, the US leadership has downplayed the virus and Australia hasn't. Look how that turned out

Conor McKenna has apparently confirmed that he breached the AFL's distancing/isolation rules. He attended an open house viewing along with visiting friends and family. He's facing a long suspension.

That by itself is a big story but it's another sign that the virus is out there in Melbourne spreading amongst the community.

That is damming that he traveled from a country where it's rife and broke the guidelines not just for the AFL but even the state.

My understanding is that he went into quarantine for 14 days, and tested negative a few times during that time. Looks like he picked it up after his release.

He's going to cop it.

CDC wasn't nutured nor ignored. They acted fast in closing down the borders but the states (New York speficially ) completely ****ed it with nursing homes, UK made same mistake. They are doing what 3x better than the UK though? TDS takes over when discussing the USA though, a good example is just the 5 or so posts about a joke about less testing.

I went to a local cafe this morning. The sign on the door said that it has a capacity for 15 people. At one stage there were at least 20 in there, and even with 15 it would've felt crowded. On our way out (no way I managed to stay 1.5 meters away from everyone as they were blocking the door) I hear one of the patrons ask the guy at the counter if she should wait outside. "Yeah, nah, don't worry about it.". People just don't care.

I had the opposite experience yesterday. Went to a cafe in Moonta with a couple of mates. The place had a capacity of 10 inside and strictly kept to that, taking orders outside. Asking all customers if they had the Covid Safe app. If no then they took names and contact details.

The Bombers are fully co-operating with the department of health. The club's confirmed that no players were in close contact with the McKenna in the gym and also on the training track apart from those seen on the video, but 3 sets of dumbbells and 2 punching bags will need to go into forced isolation.

I hope you're not listening to Trump propoganda. I have family New York. I was talking to them when we were going into lockdown. They didn't close the borders with China nor go into lockdown. It was a partial ban 20,000 had already gone in anyway. Lockdown was the only option but because the US wanted proprietary rights over testing they rejected the test produced by the Germans and had faulty initial testing. When they finally learnt the extent of the problem they closed down NY, California and some other states. Nursing homes was a tough one but it didn't cause the spread. They just don't have funding to isolate them.
I am angry at the orange man and get frustrated when people buy his false narrative when all this happened for the world to see and yet we buy the laughable excuse that his government comes to with.
