You've misread shewhos comment - it says it WAS in proportion to the Wines penalty.

I see, harsh 'but'. I still do not think it is that harsh when you consider the circumstances. In fact Sidebottom is lucky the cops took him home and not to the cop shop to pose for a few impromptu snaps a la Dean Laidley. One of the cops must have been a Collingwood supporter.

Thats what I thought too. What police patrole bumps into a random, naked, drunk bloke and goes.. " Poor fella, let's take him home." :drunk:

The Collingwood statement has no class.

Either accept the penalty and move on or if you think it is excessive, fight it. Don’t say it’s excessive and accept it. Our club would never do that.
The narratIve is that Sidebottom has decided to accept it because he is a true hero ( taken one for the team) and Eddie is extremely proud of him.
Never heard so much rubbish in my life.

Cops do drive people home on occasion usually pissed teenagers.
Or a mate of mine who would always get a lift him with them cause he worked with cops when he was working in juvenile justice.

Anyway, he quit because he became extremely disillusioned with the system.

Somehow attempting to claim the moral high ground out of a shameful episode...

Beefing up our defense infrastructure seems like not so subtle message sending during all this.

Well we need to be alert to the threat of flying pigs.

Not to tempt fate but have we reached peak 2020?

“Pigs might fly” is now a credible threat ;)

If I was Tom Morris I would say that Dogs North Essendon join Collingwood and Cats in Perth. Richmond Dees Carlton Saints and Hawks go to NSW for a couple weeks and play each other, then move to SA.
All the while Port and Crows finish two more weeks in QLD and move back to SA, as the same with Eagle and Freo.
Brissy GC GWS and Sydney go wherever.

This Corvid thing has been great at exposing the Vics, unless the show is manufactured their way everything starts to fall down. The cracks are appearing, watch Lloyd grill Ed, he’s such a conflicted person.

The Vics are sooking and don’t like life at the minute, where was all this moaning for us and our fellow hub teams earlier in the year?

A bit of good news on the search for a vaccine.

Covid-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech shows positive results

An experimental Covid-19 vaccine being developed by the drug giant Pfizer and the biotech firm BioNTech spurred immune responses in healthy patients, but also caused fever and other side effects, especially at higher doses.

The first clinical data on the vaccine were disclosed Wednesday in a paper released on medRXiv, a preprint server, meaning it has not yet been peer-reviewed or published in a journal.

We'd have to assume the AFL would be none too pleased with McGuire's 'holier than thou' face-saving campaign.

*Could be handy when they sit down to deliberate on the Club's prison bars proposal. Here's hoping anyway!

Not too sure about the side effects though. I guess the idea is to keep it to a low level.

Meanwhile Gilead has sold it's entire July and August production of remdesivir to the US Government. There are suggestions that Trump applied pre3ssure to secure the stockpliles for the US. At this stage the drug's effectiveness is still debatable and the US probably has the most pressing need for it.

So basically some of these security guards in Melbourne were supermarket tier cash in handers.. with some quarantine nooky thrown in.

The sex thing is weird. How does one negotiate sex with someone in quarantine?

I didn't like the look of the side effects but interestingly Pfizer is claiming they fall into the tolerable range.

On the 7-30 report last night Andrews was asked about why Victoria used private contractors instead of law enforcement for managing the quarantine hotel. He just weasled his way out of it by saying "other people did this too".

I suspect the ongoing issues his government has with corruption and incompetence are seriously affecting decision making. He won't now force people to take tests citing civil liberties, therefore completely missing the point. This is getting much worse before it gets better.

There are now reports that residents from Melbourne's hotspot areas tried to change the address on their driver’s licence, hoping to get around lockdown restrictions.
So many absolute morons from tne government to the security guards to those in quarantine to the suburbs.
They obviously don’t get that this will cost all of them and us in the end. Infuriating how dumb and down right selfish
