Benchmarked against the 37 OECD nations with states ranked against them. Oz has the 3rd lowest death rate with 73/million people with only South Korea with 59 and NZ with 7, being lower.

Severe lockdowns in NSW/ACT/Vic drove Oz's vaccination rate up the ladder.

Ranked by double vaxxed of total population, ie inc the 0.001 to 11.99 year olds, which is low all around the world. Oz has approx 3.8mil kids in this age group and 5.1mil under 16 ie around 20%.

Israel's under 16 population is 29.7% of the total population and probably is why they are so low, but had such a fast uptake in the first 6 months of 2021.

Some of worldometers population figures are 2 to 4 years old. NZ has 5.1mil people not 4.8mil so looks like a 2018 census figure. or it could be the estimate at end of 2019. Oz's 25.499mil was close to the official September 2019 figure released by ABS in March 2020.

Since the Chinese acknowledged the first case in January last year about 260mil people have been born and about 110mil have died around the world.

Ok that now makes sense why on his AA segment that Caro broadcast snippets to the nation on Footy Classified, one bit he said that wasn't broadcast there - he said when referring to being vaccinated to play and attend footy - 1/2 my family wouldn't be allowed (in to games).

I took that as a religious thing as he mentioned religious reasons why people might not get vaccinated. Pretty sure his second wife has 2 kids which would account for the half my family comment.
