There's no doubt long covid exists but a percentage of people reporting it would be psychosomatic or attributing long covid to other health issues.

As a semi-related aside, I found it an odd experience when getting both of my shots that after they've read you the disclaimer and potential side effects, you get jabbed and sent out to the room to wait your 20mins. Both times I was hyper aware of my breathing, my body temperature, do I have a headache?, is my heart rate normal?, how dry is my throat?... everything. The mere mention of the side effects had an impact on my assessment of my body's response during that waiting period. I couldn't tell if there was something real or just a temporary hyper sensitivity to any fluctuation in my body's functions.

I'd say there would be a large amount of psychosomatic responses like this in the reporting of the vax effects.

I'd heard that you might need to take the next day off work following the second shot. I took the day off work

17 of the 19 deaths reported in Victoria today were unvaccinated.
Deaths reported today were mostly historic (from Coroner’s reports release)

When you get long term effects from other viruses you are generally written off by health anyway, the only reason these people are being looked at is because of the virus name. Some viruses just take ages to get over, it sucks but it's how it is, everyone is effected differently. If you get a bad bout of the flu or something you can't expect to be back to the same exercise ability in 4 weeks etc, it can take months. Glandular Fever, Ross River virus etc etc.

SA Health is looking to urgently set up quarantine facilities able to accommodate more than 100 people in Renmark, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln and Mt Gambier due to concerns about vulnerable and Indigenous people unable to quarantine at home during a COVID-19 outbreak.

They have only had a month to get things organised. Marshall gave us the news on 26th October.

I genuinely like Jacqui Lambie. There's a lot of things I don't agree with her on, but she's just about the only genuine person in politics.

Yep. But this is what happens when you dare to challenge the madness of Pauline Hanson and One Nation. They published her personal mobile number on social media and now she is getting bomabrded by vile abuse from the rabid anti vaxxers mob.

"Experts in Japan have been left convinced that the nation of 125 million has successfully eradicated the Delta variant of Covid-19, after incredible new data emerged.
According to new research from Japan’s National Institute of Genetics, scientists say that the deadly strain drove itself towards a “natural extinction” after several mutations led to it being unable to make copies of itself.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Japanese population have been on high alert especially after the highly-transmissible Delta variant broke through its borders in 2021.
At the peak of their fifth wave, the country recorded a staggering 26,000 cases per day as countries around the world, including Australia, imposed strong lockdown measures to squash the Delta curve.
However, in November, the nation saw a glimpse of recovery.
Over the past few weeks, Japan has been recording under 200 cases and on Friday registered its first day without a Covid death in 15 months."

I'd back the Tassie bogan Lambie supporters against Malcolm Roberts Queensland kooks if it comes down to it

I'd back Lambie against Roberts in a cage match.

That is very interesting, it is what happened with the MERS virus. Maybe there is hope for us?

Jacqui Lambie is the salt of the earth, bit rough around the edges but her heart's in the right place type of bogan that makes Australia great. One Nation supporters are the type of bogans which Things Bogans Like was written about.

Jacquie Lambie is likeable but she was also found to made fraudulent claims regarding an injury in the army and claiming disability pension.

So, not a great history of integrity either.

My recollection is that the Dept of Veterans Affairs claims were contested by Lambie and were subsequently dropped with DVA admitting she was entitled to compensation.
