Would love someone to dig back into the way Liberal mates won the initial tender for a Victorian casino licence. The preferred tenderer in the initial tender was an international company with vast casino running experience. That was called in and Liberal mates with no casino running experience won it second time around. Leading to the international company who were initially the preferred tenderer saying they would never tender again in this country. Wonder why?

Glad to be posting in what will become an important internet thread in this nation's history, the very beginning of the great revolution.

Corruption is endemic in Government in Australia - only a very narrow view would deny its somehow only a problem for the Libs.

I think that with the amount of corruption being discorvered in the government, it deserves a thread of its own. From RoboDebt to the airport, sports rorts and childcare, this is a pandemic sweeping the Liberal Party. A federal ICAC is needed NOW!
Yes, of course. It's only the Liberal Party who are corrupt. There is no way the other major party could possibly be corrupt in any way. Labor care about us, the people! They are truly the beacon of honesty and transparency.

Tony Burke? That taxpayer-funded $12k family trip to Uluru was perfectly fine!
Sam Dastyari accepting Chinese money? Then supporting the Chinese illegally taking control of the South China Sea? Nonsense! Nothing corrupt about that.
Daniel Andrews? Red shirts? Belt and road initiative? None of that happened, Dan is saving us all!
The Unions? There's no way they would ever engage in any kind of criminal activity.
Morris Iemma, Eddie Obeid, Ian Macdonald and everyone else from the New South Wales Labor swamp? Well there's no way any of them could possibly be corrupt. It's all a conspiracy by the evil far right wing and Murdoch!

Just remember, only the Liberals can be corrupt. Labor is incorruptible!

Both sides are corrupt, and its the unwillingness of each party to provide the resources for a federal ICAC which makes it clear and simple we're getting creamed.

I'd say it slightly differently

both sides are vulnerable to the same risks of corruption because its the authority and power that attracts abuse, not party allegiance

and both sides dont want to investigate it because both sides know they aint virgins on this matter

You are putting words into my mouth here. Of course the labor party and as a matter of fact just about all parties have corruption. What i am highlighting is the frightening levels seen in the current government. And then they deny it and refuse to take responsibility

So other than allegations what have you got?

Not corruption, but worrying when a government and fellow travellers seek to pressure/censor in this fashion. Shocking in fact. Part of the attempted destruction of the ABC. Watch 4Corners tonight folks.

so much as a $5 note being exchanged in return for access to privilege is unacceptable

there is zero doubt the the corruption is present in both parties - one cant even be bothered hiding it any more.

The libs have made corruption and stealing money from the Australian taxpayer an art form.
They in fact exist for no other purpose.

Line every one of them up shoot them, then shoot their steam s**t stained corpses into the sun.

That is about as correct as blaming Murdoch for the last election loss.
Mugs on the other side blame the unions ..
