Who's the better player?

They're both midfielders, but there the similarities seem to end.

If you compare Gibbs' 1st season to Cotchin's 1st season then the answer is very simple.

This time next year someone will bump this thread and I'm predicting Cotchin to be even further ahead than he is now

Gibbs ATM, would definitely take Cotchin for the future though, he is very composed for a young player and loves taking people on, also he has more pace than Gibbs.

Extremely tough poll, so hard to pick one. Both brilliant.

I'd probably have to go for Gibbs ATM, as I just haven't seen enough of Cotchin to definitively pick him. Whereas I have tremendous faith in Gibbs; he will be a star. After next season I'd be able to make a more accurate decision.

On a side note, all Richmond and Carlton fanboys should be excluded from the vote though.

i would say gibbs as he is currently better and more valuable
if it is comparing first years then cotchin
if it is comparing future careers then that is the only hard question
i would say it is too early to tell and they will both be stars but im gonna say gibbs coz im biased
