Our assistant coach (rather stupidly) declared that Michael Gardiner would struggle to crack a game with the form Cox was in this year. To compare him with Jolly / Jamar is just an insult. It's irrelevant anyway, he won't be traded.theres rumors the either cox or gardiner will be traded and im not joking. There are other threads saying that aswell.Milenko said:Please......Our assistant coach (rather stupidly) declared that Michael Gardiner would struggle to crack a game with the form Cox was in this year. what about if west coast get nathan thompson at centre half foward, seaby in the foward pocket, mcdougall full foward, matera foward pocket, sampi, foward flank. Where would gardiner go?dees_best said:Those rumours aren't from very reliable sources.
I highly doubt West Coast would be stupid enough to trade Gardiner, Cox or Seaby for that matter.
Gardiner could find himself at CHF next season effectively making Cox and Seaby their number one and two ruckmen.
You will have more of a chance getting one of Brad Ottens, Troy Simmonds and Darren Jolly.

Sit on the bench? I dont think he would like that, while cox is starting every quarter and gardiner maybe coming on for the last 5 minutes of every quarter. They will both want to be number 1 ruckmen at West Coast. But 2 cant fit into 1. Gardiner or Cox will be traded, for a very good draft pick, and a quality player. Or there could be a three way deal.
Gradiner or Cox to Saints
Hay and Thompson to West Coast
Pick 16, Leigh Montagna and Troy Schwarze to Hawthorn
They might have to... if one of them arent happy.dees_best said:Nathan Thompson looks like he's staying at Hawthorn so you can forget about that idea.
You will not get Gardiner or Cox - West Coast are not going to trade away one of their strengths.

Why are you going onto every board and saying that West Coast are going to trade Cox or Gardiner? Do you have a personal vendetta against them or something. In your hypothetical forward line up we have Thompson at CHF (who I doubt we will get) Cox in the ruck and Seaby in a pocket leaving Gardiner on the bench. If we did have Thompson playing at CHF and not Gardiner then Gardy would without doubt play in a pocket, pinch hitting in the ruck in the forward 50. Seaby would play off the bench as Gardiner would be ahead of him. However I dont see this as being a problem because I am pretty sure that Gardiner will play CHF next year as he still has the "passion" to play football and I doubt we'd trade aggresivley for somone who doesnt.Lisha said:what about if west coast get nathan thompson at centre half foward, seaby in the foward pocket, mcdougall full foward, matera foward pocket, sampi, foward flank. Cox would be almost as off-limits as Judd.

I'd offer very little for Cox, huge possibility he wouldn't work out at St Kilda. Prepared to be proven wrong, though.

sinepari said:good luck. He has re-signed. Plus with gardiner's stuffed knee, he will be our number 1 ruckman for next fews years. We would want someone damn good if it was too happen. We'll take luke ball, and goddard thanx![]()

Taking a greater interest in my team over the others is suddenly a crime.![]()
