Chants are peurile and boring in the main. I tell you what though, I wish we had an 'anthem' of the sort used by Liverpool (You'll never walk alone) and the Scots and Welsh rugby and soccer teams. I suspect the Irish have something similar. Have a listen to

and don't try and tell me that, when the chips are down, that wouldn't have a major impact on every Scot on the pitch.

I know we have GOCF and I love it. However, it's used more as a welcome and victory celebration thing - not as a means of giving the team a lift. Would be very difficult to get going though as, despite the strong Celtic influence on our game, we have no tradition of mass singing in our sports.
