Anyone know how come the rule evolved so you cant be given out lbw when the ball pitches outside leg? U can be bowled if it pitches outside leg

Basically it's to stop negative bowling.

Bowling on the players pads and stacking the leg side with fielders.

A normal batting stance has the bat outside the off stump - it's not like a batsman can remove his legs so it would be pretty advantageous to the bowler if he could angle in from the leg side and still have LBW in play.

How many overs were bowled?

And are they extending each session to make up for lost time on day one?

They went off the field 5 minutes before lunch and didn't come back.

Play is extended by half an hour in the middle session each day, because of no play on day 1.

Gotta love the change to the rules Allowing Archer to play for England 3-4 years earlier than he was supposed to.

England really struggle to produce talent that doesn't half belong to another country

Scary close call for Smith. He didn't seem lose blood flow to his brain and pass out tho, fully proving my theory that he bats completely out of his mind. Tipping he adds another 60 odd to his tally when he comes back on.
