Mr Ripper,

I was just thinking..... if someone was to correctly tip the exact crowd for a game (which isn't out of the question, considering the number of participants selecting estimates for 176 games), their 2,000,000 bonus points would virtually signal the end of the contest.

If someone was to do it this round, they would immediately jump 2,000,000 points clear, and only a fluke by someone else would enable them to be caught.

In my personal opinion, a 50,000 point bonus (or maybe 100,000) would be a more realistic reward for correctly tipping the crowd. What it basically means now, is that if you tip the correct crowd, you win the competiton. In other words, you are being rewarded for "fluking" an estimate. By all means, a reward should be in order, but that reward, in my opinion, should be in the vicinity of 50,000 points.

Or maybe, you could get the number of points that is the crowd ! eg, if you correctly guess 37,404, then you get 37,404 points.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts. Given that no one has guessed the correct crowd yet, there would be no change to the structure of the contest.

I sorta agree with Dan

It wouldnt be really fair if somebody won by a fluke. Gotta try and make it as competitive as possible, but it is upto Mr Ripper since he's running the thing.

The advantage of keeping it 2 million is there'll still be interest from everyone right upto the last round but I dunno if its really fair if somebody guesses a game spot on in the last round and comes from bottom to first from just one game. I prob prefer Dans suggestion but either way Im happy

But, essentially, it is a fluke Dees01. In other words, the person who is the best estimator, may not win, because the WORST estimator could fluke the exact figure in round 22.

That is why I am suggesting that 50,000 points be allocated to the person who tips the exact crowd.

That makes it fairer, and still gives the lower ranked constestants a chance to jump up the rankings, but it won't ebnd the contest. If someone gets 2 million points the contest is effectively over.
