As opposed to Woolies or Coles?

I shop in all 3. Costco uses local butchers and sources all meat and chicken from local farms. They bake in-house fresh daily. They employ a shitload of locals. And I save 30-50 cents a litre on petrol.

Obviously, I live way too far from a Costco but what is the petrol bit?

Is it like the Woolies 4 cent deal but remarkably better?

I pay an average of 40 cents per litre cheaper with Costco. Costs me $60 a year which I get back essentially after the first shop and petrol purchase.

If I lived near one I'd probably go there but the 500k distance puts a bit of a dampener on it.

It’s a fair distance (not 500k though ) from me too but I go out that way once a week for my airbrush classes. Makes sense to fill up then. And then once every six weeks we take hubby’s car out there and go and buy the few things we get from the warehouse as well. We’ve saved an absolute fortune in petrol.

40c that’s a lot, I reckon it’s only 6-15c cheaper here

Depends on the cycle. I've seen recent bottom to peak cycle of 35c, Costco is always at the bottom so you'd save best case 35c. But sometimes zero.
