So what do people think, can we beat the Birds of Satan on our home ground? They have won the last couple of games between us and were humiliated by the Blues today. They soundly beat us here last year, we owe them. You could almost say its a final :D

Ill back us in purely because were at home. We simply must win our next three...really its just an away win from being back to .500 if we continue to hold home court.

But finals seem a long long way away at the moment.

We should be able to beat the crows at subi but frankly I thought we should have been able to take care of Collingwood at the dome on Friday so its kind of hard to back them with any strong conviction at the moment.

we'd wanna beat them.

I think Carroll will once again be in and out of the team. I really fail to see the value in him. We're better off seeing how Staker or MacDougall can handle it down back.

I broke the subi rule and tipped melbourne to beat freo today, and for the same reason I'm very worried about the crows over here next week.

My reasoning was that after poor performances on the road, both WA teams get into a 'well, we'll win at subi, and then what?' syndrome- basically, a win against Adelaide is not going to 'give' the players much in the way of confidence or respect- its simply a game they have to win, but the way things are going this season, even if they do win, the fans, themselves and Woosha are going to shrug and discount the win because it was over here.

In that context, I think it will get pretty hard for us to be totally psyched up for Subiaco games, simply because the win effectively means nothing and there will always be one eye to the following week. Obviously I hope we can beat Adelaide, but after seeing Freo today, I have my doubts about whether we are going to be mentally 'up' for home games until we can win one on the road.

I think we will be mentally up for the game. At home or not the season is on the line so Id expect the boys to be pretty fired up. As VOR always says, one week at a time. We concentrate on beating Adelaide, worry about whats to come later.

Crows are in disarray, the mail from my Crows supporting mates in SA say Ayres is a dead man walking.

Crows are playing without confidence and seem to be almost totally reliant on Riccuito.

I expect the Eagles to win reasonably comfortably.

this game is one hard one to predict IMO. west coast are just too inconsistent at the moment. if we play like we did against collingwood, forget it.
I reckon we are even more inconsistent than you guys. Will depend on which teams turn up.

You're quoting the local paper's headline...

We aren't travelling great at the moment, but at least Ayres still has the support of the players.

Agree that if Roo is shut down we will struggle, but he has hardly been shut down all year & we have still lost games. Key will be the other senior players - Macca, Edwards, Carey, Stevens, etc.

Very worried about who to play on Fido as with Hart out we have no obvious matchup. Also, Cousins should have a field day as Stinger has OP.

Would not want to bet on this game as anything could happen...

Actually, the way he has been playing of late it is the Crows favour...

I would love any type of win as 4 points is 4 points but I would love and easy win for once. In 4 games this season we have beaten the Lions by 3, the Dogs by 7 and the Swan and Tigers by about 30 points.

I love a huge win to get the boys confidence back for another trip away. Still a win is a win so be it by a point I dont really care.

Yeah, exactly Jod, WC are due to hit their straps at home and I'd expect a BIG win at home.

We're a complete and utter mess, a total shambles and after the absolute devastation of last Saturday's capitulation, there is no chance we'll get back up for an impossible mission at Subi.

You can just relax this week and try and solve your away match problems. Good luck.

Stop jinxing us!

I need to reverse that...

The Eagles are playing so poorly that even the Crows will be a chance, an easy win for the Crows which will restore there confidence and they'll get a few on the trot. Big win coming up for the mighty Crows.

There....that should offset your jinxing :D

LOL, Jod, if only this was about jinxing WC...that would mean we actually had a reasonable team and were a chance...but this isn't the case.

As I've said, we're an awful side, results speak for themselves. Plus, out of last week's debacle go Hart, Burton and now Welsh. We're also probably going to play another 1st gamer this week.

You're also due to beat us.

Trust me, we won't win this week, won't even get close. Enjoy the match, I'm sure you will.

Basically our problem is that we are extremely low on confidence.

If you don't have confidence you don't hit targets.

If you don't hit targets you don't score goals.

If you don't score goals you don't win games.

Hence why we are 3 - 8, which is shocking by our standards.

Nonetheless, I expect us to come out firing, kick a few goals, and then watch in horror as you guys kick the next 20 odd goals. Just like the Carlton game, then.

Expect Mega Watts to make his long awaited debut, and perhaps Edwards being on Matera.
