Does anyone know if riley only had 6 possessions last night coz i certaintly wouldnt go on the sanfl website stats. Last week they missed so many obvious stats to players like riley and kerridge and today grocke runs for about 20-30m and kicks the goal and yet the sanfl stats say l.carey kicked the goal. Their staticians are ordinary.

Lol let's not get too hasty! Remember everyone wanted his D during the preseason.

He was coming from a long way back fitness wise when he was drafted. Maybe he's still struggling to play games on a consistent basis?

well that was nice.

eagles were absolutely deplorable. should open with that. after about half time they had zero interest in anything really. we ran rings around them. got it on half back and just cut through the whole game. laird was tremendous off half back. lovely cutting kicks that constantly hit the target. 31 touches says it all. was everywhere.

it'd be harsh to criticise a guy like cey, who did some nice things. kicked a decent goal with tippett catching him. other than that he had a plenty of fellow passengers.

From the bits and pieces of 3 WWT games I've seen over the last few weeks (trial game and rounds 1-2) CEY looks like a guy who has no idea what his role is meant to be. Running around like a headless chook.

Definitely one for mine who would benefit from being in a Crows Reserves side playing with the guys he trains with.

Laird would be a chance to be elevated if that's the case. But for now, he can't play as you said

So we have to wait to round 11 then. No point talking of him til then.

Whats the point of trading him then. Our window is open for the next say 5 years. I dont think a pick 30 will be at the same stage as Dougles is inside of that time

To move up the draft order, open up cap space and free up a space for some of our younger players

That depends on your perspective. I don't think losing Dougy for someone like Riley, Lyons or Kerridge makes us any weaker in the short term. Really a matter of opinion as it is all hypothetical. The club won't move Douglas as much as I might like them to.

Dougie was late first round, around pick 16-18 IIRC

Douglas was pick #17. We then took Pfeiffer with #17 (back to back picks after trading Fungus Watts to St Kilda).

For what it's worth, that was a particularly poor draft - Douglas has done significantly better than any of the 10 players taken immediately after him in the draft (the best of them being Freo's Garrick Ibbotson).

Did both Riley and Johnston get injured this weekend? Stuff all stats after half time for each of them.
Stiffy in for Callinan after their respective performances.
