With the Demons absolute abysmal 186 point loss today to Geelong, you'd think Dean Bailey will be ejected from the coaches box fairly quickly. Maybe Cuddles might make a return to senior coaching albeit as a caretaker...

Cats 37.11 (233)
Demons 7.5 (47).

Do you guys think that is a coach killing scoreline as well?

Let's hope so. CC will do wonders coaching inconsistency and softness into an already soft, inconsistent team. Should set them back 5 years or so and take one of our rivals out of the equation.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving club either. Tanking scum deserve to rot at the bottom of the ladder.

With Dean Bailey already on notice you'd have to think that result will be the end of it.

Cuddles must be excited.

As much as you guys bag out CC, just remember he got us 1 game off from making the GF.

And what did that cost us????

How many horrible trades... drafting Josh Head.....

How many years has it taken us to turn it around....

Off-field they did great things for our club.... on field.... Nope...

Hold on guys. Cudds may have caused us to bottom out for a couple of years but if we had of beaten Sydney in that prelim he could have been our only premiership coach. He's the most successful coach for results that we've ever had

Could've, should've, would've... but didn't.

The price paid for Schwabolly's 2006 run was way too high.

Melbourne are welcome to him.

Surely there are only 2 options for Melbourne. They either go with Garry Lyon to try to instill some Demon pride, or they sell everything they own and get Malthouse.

Anything else could surely kill the club.

Lyon has said on a number of occasions that he will categorically not coach.

Cuddles could be alright for Melbourne as long as he didn't trade them all away. He wasn't a bad coach, he just went in a direction that wasn't right but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Surely he would have learnt his lesson?

Hey, I didn't like him. The best for the club is clearly Harvey. But stats and accomplishments are clearly in favour of Cuddles.

He'd be better than Bailey, easy.

To be blunt, all our coaches have losing records, that is, more losses than victories. None have guided us to premierships. To invoke stats really dosent say much in regards to Freo' as all our coaches have yet to acheive a 'winning' record. You could argue who the best loser is...
The cost of the prelim Schwabolly led us to far exceeds any benefit of having made said Prelim Final. We never backed it up... in fact we have never backed up a finals series with an appearance the following season to date. We have been in the 8 all season but the odds are against us making the finals due to a myriad of reasons that we are all familiar with. Thankfully Schwabolly footy isn't one of them.
The development and recruiting under Harvey & Co has vastly improved sand is the best at anytime ever in our clubs history. That at least gives us a fighting chance of success with Harvey, even with his various faults (query on his being an effective matchday tactician) as you like to lead the charge in pointing out.. He is still better than Schwabolly. Heck, even Drum managed to get Pav and Hase to the club....

Cuddles is still Freo's most successful coach.

That's due to where the list was at when the 5 coaches took over the position, not their ability.

Tony Shaw could coach the current Collingwood side for one season and they'd still win more than they lose but that wouldn't put him in the top tier of coaches.
