Of the players left:

Ashby: 1/2 year contract
Fletcher: retire
Gleeson: 2 year
Gregory: 1 year
Hams: 1 year
Hardingham: 1 year
Hibberd: 3 year
Hocking: 2/3 year
Howlett: 1/2 year
Jetta: delist
van Unen: delist
Winderlich: retire/1 year

rookies:

Ambrose: 1/2 year upgrade
Dell'Olio: delist
Rayner: 1 year
Steinberg: 1 year (rookie list)
Thurlow: delist
Can't argue with any of that. Would be keen to get Hams on a two year deal though. And Ashby definately for 2 years.

Just fixed that up for you

There comes a time where his presence actually stifles the development of the team. He's a legend of the game, but we all know he's stifling the development of either Carlisle or Hurley by forcing one of them playing forward when we all know that they're defenders. I want him to leave on his own terms but unless we change our structure to accomodate him...

I agree with this.

Surely as a project player who looks a long way off playing Gregory is rookied for next year. Especially if Fletch wants to go around again. Obviously Jetta is gone, perhaps he could go in as steak knives for a deal where we trade out one of Pears or Bellchambers (though it seems cruel to break them up). Van Unen surely gone.

I would delist Hardingham too. Next year Ashby, Gleeson, Kavanagh, O'Brien and perhaps a first rounder will be needing to get games. Hardingham is good list cover but we need to drop one of the kids if we keep him. Hams one more year, but if we want to be campaigners then he could go. If we can't get an excitement machine onto either rookie or senior list

So for mine delist/rookie

SENIORS
Hardingham
Jetta
Van Unen
Gregory (rookie)
Hams (rookie)

ROOKIES
Thurlow
Steinburg
Dell'Olio

Upgrade:
Ambrose

Trade

Pears or Bellchambers

Therefore we have 5 spots on the senior list to fill and two on the rookie list. Pacey forward and a ruckman. If we can't find a pacey forward then Dell gets re rookied.
