Dal Santo vs Deledio

Two players both very highly skilled, both criticised for similar things. Who will we look back on as a better player?

Dal Santo has played in bigger games so far in his career so you have to give him credit for that.

At this point in time Deledio is playing better footy.

I would say they are almost switching roles atm.

Dal Santo has always played in a very strong side where he hasn't always copped the best tagger and because he was in a good side he showed how good he was and played some great footy.

Deledio has always been in a poor side and generally copped the number 1 tag until recently when Cotch has copped it. I think now you are seeing Dal Santo copping tags and playing in a average side while Deledio is on a up curve in my opinion.

Totally incorrect. Dal Santo has had to play mid field from basically his second season and has always been tagged by some of the best taggers in Kirk, Ling Stenglein and Hart. He unlike Delidio hasnt had the luxary of running off half back most of his career.

His also had the support of a great midfield around him and the tagger has been spread across a number of mids: Hayes, Harvey, Goddard..........

Both tend to suffer under the blowtorch but for sheer impact over a greater period of time Dal Santo.

Only year you'd have Lids ahead of him is this year and the season is 6 rounds old.

Also Lids is 3 years younger so think that would have to count for a fair bit.

Lids easy for me, love his class and pace as well as his ability to shine in what's been a fairly ordinary team ever since he started.
