What's the washup after today injury wise and who have we got left?

Injury list:

Walker
Houlihan
Hartlett
Thornton
Hadley
Bannister
Hampson (?)

Any more?

2 guys need to be replaced next week.

Seems like Setanta, Saddington or Edwards will come in for Hartlett and Thornton. Armfield may come in for a home state debut.

B: Bower Jamison Browne
HB: Gibbs Waite Scotland
C: Simpson Stevens Carrazzo
HF: Russell Kreuzer Fisher
F: Edwards Fevola Betts
R: Cloke Judd Murphy
I: Bentick Grigg O'hAilpin Pfeiffer

E: Armfield Saddington Wiggins

In: O'hAilpin, Edwards
Out: Thornton, Hartlett

pfieffers head might be on the chopping block, not the worst game ever but ut could do a little better i reckon, how far away is hadley, is there a chance that he might be alright fo next week? and we really dont have much depth in the forward line. edwards is pretty much our only option to put up forward, hopefully he does alright

Bring back Blackwell as a defender, I have a feeling that he could be good down there as a sweeper.

Not really, I just want to see him in the team.

Our lack of depth was always going to be a bit of a problem this year, and we haven't had much luck with injuries either. It's not really an option now, but what do people think about the idea of resting a few of the guys for the WC game?

Those In's look pretty spot on for mine.

Pretty sure Saddo did his hamstring at training last week (hence being a late withdrawal from the Ants team to play Tassie)

......errr.......Mark Austin? :S

Pfeiffer has nothing to worry about ... zip .... nada. Even tried to soften the contact.
You'd have to think that Hadley would be close, and i'm not sure how far away Hampson is either. On MMM, they seemed to think that Pfieffer didn't have too much to worry about.

yeh i know he wont get suspended, just thought he might get dropped, IMO hasn't done much the last 2 weeks (but hasnt played horrible). i would like to see hadley in for him

hahaha id love to see him in the team too. im slowly giving up on him, only coz he never gets the chance in the ones despite playing well in the two and solidly contributing with limited game time in the odd few occassions he has been called up.

ohhh...and im missing JK atm with the the lack of options for hartlett

I'd go Setanta before Austin. Austin is not showing a lot in the Ants.

Likewise. However, be interested to see if they persevere with him as a backman.

Wish they would stop persevering with Grigg. He's just utter pants. Did nothing right today.

Next week.

In: Hadley, o'hAilpin, Wiggins
Out: Thornton (inj), Hartlett (inj), Grigg

I would blood Armfield next week, maybe bring back Santa and possibly give Austin a go however I dont think there will the adequate match up for him.

In: Armfield, Santa, hadley (if fit)
Out: Thornton, Harlett, either grigg/russell/pfieffer...

Russell should survive and so should pfeiffer

Hopefully our midfield can dominate and keep the ball up our end enough to allow us to win. With our forwards and midfield I have every confidence than we will finally win at Subi again!

We don't have too many forward threats to worry about at WCE. We need someone who can play tall to keep Gibbs from having to play back. Who's impressed in the Ants lately?
If fit, i'd like to see Hammer in for Hartlett, so Kreuzer drops into CHF and Hammer n Cloke share the majority of ruck duties, and hopefully run Cox off his feet having 3 ruckmen.

In: O'hAlpin (back) Hampson (ruck)
Out: Hartlett Thornton

Yay, Nay?

I felt we missed him terribly around the clearences today. He would've made the difference imo.

I disagree. Bentick covered his role pretty well I thought - did the hard stuff and some good things, including laying some excellent tackles.

Thornton could've been the difference - we really did miss his poise in defence, not to mention his drive from there. Sets up a lot of attacks.

Can someone tell me what happened to Thornton? A guy behind me at the game said he's 'done' his knee. But has he 'done, done' it or just 'done' it?

I didn't even see him on the ground!

Ah so that why we won so many clearences ;)

Strained his medial ligament apparently. Went to the rooms after he did it, and did not look too comfortable at all. He was a huge loss.
