From the single footage I’ve seen, it was hardly severe or even intentional. They clearly only want blood due to the injury. There’s been much worse trips this year that haven’t even been given a one week suspension

Deemed severe, no surprises there.

Peter O'Farrell has lost all recent cases I have searched.

Based on today's performance, he should never represent us again.

Can we appeal based on incoherent legal representation?
It really does concern me how shit our legal representation has been this year. This just takes the cake.

it all happened quickly, but i felt as though Howe was falling to ground put a leg to support himself, Fisher took a step into his leg and tripped, then broke his leg, if he didnt break his leg, it wouldve been thrown out and not even a report, it isnt Howes fault that a kid is playing AFL 5 kgs under weight, thats like if Miles broke his leg i'd be like, yea shouldve got yourself AFL ready i wouldnt go looking for a scape goat to blame....

another point is, ive seen 100 trips in footy for the last few decades and worst outcome was 1 week suspension, this seems a bit over the top

Done by the media again, absolute corruption of an organisation the AFL.
As soon as we pleaded guilty to tripping Dan was going to cop a whack.

Arguing the contact was accidental/ incidental was our only chance. Trying to argue that a broken leg isn't severe impact was foolish.

No! Pleading guilty is no defense. O'Farrell needs to be removed immediately as he clearly does nlt have HFC best interests in mind. An appeal should be made and bone density tests on ol brittle bones should be done. Ut the blame back on to his lineage.

so he's done for 5-6 weeks depending on the 3-4 weeks for the trip, well now Shiels has to step up as our defensive mid until finals

in all honesty, worst case scenario shouldve been 1 for the punch and 1 for the trip, instead its 2 and 3-4, this media beat up was bad news for poor Howe, its 2 weeks for the crime and 3-4 weeks for the media beat up imo

Which part of this whole process has been competent?

Christian? Our legal Bellend ?
This Gleeson fella going way over the top?

Whole thing is an embarrassment.

Or it could open the door for James Cousins to come into the team and be the designated tagger.

Peter O'Farrell you fool.

Compares incident to Nat Fyfe in 2015 and says not reportable, yet pleads guilty! The AFL was awarding Fyfe the Brownlow that year and was always getting him off, ridiculous comparison.

Sends a text to Fisher - Please, does remorse get you off!

Trying to down grade the impact of a broken leg, you had no chance down that path.

Stuffs the paperwork up too, Goose

When will the AFL cut this crap and start punishing people on actions and not injury, What Danger did on the weekend was more dangerous but he cops nothing because he didn't hurt anyone... He intentionally dove in feet first and could have caused serious damage but gets nothing because he didn't hurt anyone, Howe goes for tripping someone even though it was deemed to not be intentional... AFL is a joke.

Dangerflog is now one of the AFL's koalas - of course he won't be reported for anything!

Genuine question - If this goes the way it seems, can Howe sue Hawthorn for incompetence?

as highlighted pleading guilty pretty much case over.

just how many weeks 2-3-4 or more. Answer is 3.

Well done defence team, now if you would like to pack your bags and GTFO from the club that would be great.

FFS, would have been just as useful to send a note saying "yep guilty, 3 weeks sounds ok". ****ing pathetic.

Imagine how long he would have got if he lead with an elbow that left the best young key position player in the AFL with bleeding on the brain.
