how did murdoch go this season, if included in a package would he clearly be in our best 22?
can you fit him and menzel in the 22?
We made room for vb and Mackay
If you persist in talking about another teams list and making assertions therein, surely it is perfectly legitimate toThis thread is not about your list or best 22
Move on
Fair enough. That's your opinion. Geelong supporters will point to the fact that we already have a number of very talented first round picks learning their trade (Lang, Thurlow, Cockatoo) and improving players like Duncan, Caddy, Guthrie, Motlop and Blicavs who are all between 60-120 games and play key roles for us.
We had fewer players in the 25-28 year age bracket than anyone else this season so it's no surprise the three players we've been heavily linked to (Danger, Henderson, S.Selwood) fit this bill.
I don't expect Adelaide supporters to have an indepth knowledge of our list as I don't with yours. But I'm very confident in our sub-150 gamers and believe we will rocket back up the ladder in 2016 with some experienced recruits and a better run with injuries (this year was our worst run with injuries for almost a decade).

Quality post, and you are a moderator! You continue to ignorantly comment on the Geelong list. Then you supply your so calledKnown facts are that you missed the 8
Some of your best and most experienced players have retired
You have players like Clark and Vardy who are injury prone
And your list profile especially quality players in the 24-28 yrs age group is a concern
They are the facts now move on, this thread os not about your shitty list
Not to mention I your list was so great you wouldn't be trying to poach Danger, Henderson, Selwood and Z Smith from other clubs
How about developing your own

You are a joke!
Do you understand the concept that as soon as we match an offer he is no longer a free agent?!How can certain people entertain the idea of two first round picks + a player.... Do you understand the concept of free agency?
Brisbane paid pick 5, pick 25 & a player for beams - whilst I acknowledge danger is a bit above beams.... Surely anything the crows get above the compo pick should be viewed as favourable and a bonus?

If it's restricted its the same as trading any quality player. Port got 2 first picks for BurgoyneHow can certain people entertain the idea of two first round picks + a player.... Do you understand the concept of free agency?

Do you understand free agency champ? Once a RFA has a contract matched they are no longer a free agent. Just a regular uncontracted player or superstar in Dangers case. How can certain people entertain the idea of two first round picks + a player.... Do you understand the concept of free agency?

I just posted this on the Geelong board too. It's a handy flow chart outlining the ins and outs of free agency. How can certain people entertain the idea of two first round picks + a player.... Do you understand the concept of free agency?

What would you want for Rockliffe? My point exactly... And therefore anything you get that is better than the priority pick should be jumped at

Problem is Geelong don't hold a pick lower than 9 and they are not going to get oneWhy would we accept pick 10 (in a crappy draft), a random pick next year and some fringe player for Dangerfield?
Collingwood got pick 5 and pick 25 (in a good draft) and Jack crisp who is a superb talent for Beams when he wanted to go home, danger is much better than him.
Although for Geelong supporters it's easy to use I don't think "but he wants to go home" is a viable excuse for a lesser trade when they negotiate deals. Once we match we have the advantage.

What would you want for Rockliffe?
Now double it.
If you can't see that Dangerfield's value is >>> Rockliff then you just don't football.Rockliffe would be similar to beams... Both best and fairest winners... So you would accept two first rounders, two second rounders and two players for danger?
Wow your bnf award must be prestigious
