If the British hadn't "invaded" Australia, what would we be today? A Japanese outpost? An undeveloped, third world wasteland?
Australia would have become French.

My thoughts exactly whenever I see you defending the monarchy.

Australia would have become French.
It would probably have been split between a number of countries. It's a big place, and few European powers would have been able to secure it all.
See the "scramble for Africa" for an example of how it would have gone down.
Valid question. Until Dan cancelled the 2026 Games you would not have thought support for the Commonwealth Games went down party lines, but here we are, and we have posters applauding the demise of what is the world’s second largest multi-sports event, and the fourth most watched global broadcast sports event, featuring athletes from 71 nations and territories.
FMD!! Exactly what I said. Quarntine-boy What don't you understand about what I posted? I mean, I couldn't have been clearer???What do you mean, the second largest multi-sports event?
Where does it say it's ranked as the fourth most watched sports event? You're not lying or misleading again, are you
It like the Olympics simply don't stack up cost wise.Honest question - what is bad about the Commonwealth Games?
Is it merely the cost?
Is it merely celebrating anything to do with the British Empire?
I don't think they are a big deal, and the cost makes it very hard to excuse the expense, but in end it's a multi-sport event where a number of people who don't get to the Olympics are able to compete and get a lot out of doing so.
I am asking how is it bad, not how is it "meh".
Obviously that is what he went to China to discussCommonwealth Games is just the beginning. I believe Dan Andrews can take down the whole monarchy.

Why do you disagree with something someone posts before you bother fact checking? And if you disagree with the source prove it wrong
Are you being deliberately obtuse again?

That was the centenary one. Though even they claim that costs were still much lower than dans claimsCanada wising up too.

Canadian province Alberta cancels bid for 2030 Commonwealth Games
It comes weeks after the Australian state of Victoria pulled out of hosting the 2026 Games.www.bbc.com
Hwre people should be hanging s**t on Andrews is agreeing to host the stupid bloody things in the first place.
You're a clever chap I'm sure you can work it out.
What can I say I don't subscribe to British propaganda
Well get that button ready because I'll be continuing to argue in favour of a constitutional monarchy.
And I'll be continuing to teach the rise and fall of the British Empire. In fact I'm currently contributing to a text book for senior students on that very subject.
Why? Alberta has merely pulled out of submitting a bid. Something Dan could have done...
I've got an idea. You could see it as a bit of a test of the new bloke's commitment to the Commonwealth. It's hard to imagine his mum letting this happen.

The Myki decision was dodgy as hell (key decision makers owned shares) same as the MTR contracting process. What made Myki worse is that we could have just kept using Metcard with minimal change.Based on spite? It was a major election issue that they promised if voted in they wouldn't build.
Myki on the other hand was a huge blunder. The most ridiculous thing about it it was the gave the train network contract to MTR around the same time who already had a great system in the Octopus card that was up and running and already better than what Myki become.
He is tossing up between defunding, ignoring the report or using it to get rid of another woman somehow.Surprised dan hasnt defunded auditor general
