Are you suggesting he didnt cop a kick to the calf!?
I'm starting to think Jeremy Howe's dog might've bite his calf, causing (another) tear of some sorts that might even keep him out for another 3-4 weeks...
But the club said it's just a knock so I still believe them.

That is what training is for.
I would give Wells 2-5 rounds to get fit if it means we have him fully fit for the rest of the season.
Problem is "calves" are a worrying injury, especially as you get older.
Think he will have a big year?
He'll have some good games but I think long term we'll regret taking Mayne and Wells on such expensive long term deals.
Clint Young 2.0. There's a fair chance his calf issue will stick around at his age.

Good to see we can still retain our sense of humour, some of you are posting the house down in this thread.
This sounds a bit trite, but ultimately the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
Just have to hope that he ekes out enough games at a high enough standard, he's on the books one way or the other.
