Depends how Collingwood want to treat their underpaid players, I guess 🤷‍♂️

Up to them.
He signed a 1 year extension last year. He chose extra security over the chance to make more money. He could've waited to this year to do the extension and would've had more leeway.

Getting a bit tired of players signing long term deals then deciding a 1/3 through they are underpaid. It's the risk you take with a long term contract. Do you think the under performing players with long contracts would be happy to hand money back to the club?

You won't find me disagreeing with that. I wish clubs held players to contracts more.

To be fair, what about for example, when you guys pushed Treloar out - doesn't it go both ways?

Yeah that does happen. But it shows you what these long term contracts do. More players and managers are pushing for it and the clubs are the biggest losers in all of this.

It's not like Collingwood had a big advantage of dumping Treloar. They still had to cough up money after he was gone and got well unders on the trade table. In the players case it is win/win for them.

Watching this guys trade value plummet after every game.
  1. West Coast give end of first round priority pick to Collingwood for Darcy Cameron
  2. Collingwood split the priority pick for two second round picks
  3. Collingwood second round pick to Hawthorn for Ned Reeves
West Coast trade pick they will probably be forced to trade anyway for a player
Collingwood bring in ready made ruck that will be number 1 ruck and have second round pick points for F/S & NGA
Hawthorn receive second round pick for a depth player that's not playing that wants opportunities

This all depends on West Coast actually receiving a priority pick and a suitor for 2 probably late second rounders for a late first.

Cameron certainly a better all-round Ruck, but Reeves main game is very very good, which is to win the tap.

In 2023 when Hawks were roundly pumped, the Hawks stood up at centre clearance(top 3), basically because Reeves was second only to the Freo pair for taps to advantage. The ruck rule change screwed him over, but with that possible changing again, who knows.

Cameron to the Eagles makes a lot of sense.

Id suggest we need to give up Hawks 2nd rounder too but in saying that Im not too fussed about losing it if AFL gave us a priority pick before it. I think Pick 22 prioity pick from AFL + Hawks 2nd for Cameron and Hawks 2nd for Reeves would work.

West Coast shouldn't be trading for a 30yk at all and Reeves is barely worth a 4th.

Reeves is contracted, and has at least 3 clubs into him. Hawks will want more than a 4th rounder, or they just keep him.

That's their right but if I was a club I wouldn't trade a 2nd rounder for him.

Look, normally I'd agree but our ruck stocks are horrendous and we need someone capable of actually playing the position to a decent standard to start working back to being competitive again.

If it's 2-3 years of footy out of Cameron while we look for a younger guy then so be it - won't be the first time a club has taken on an older ruck to fill the role for a few years.

Wow sheldrick and now Cameron.

Seems no one wants to head to WC anymore despite the opportunity of more cash and playing time

Reckon they be desperate now and throw the kitchen sink at Erasmus.

Be surprised if their not courting Liam Reidy too as well

Seen a lot of West Coast fans say Reidy would be an upgrade on their current situation and I just thought to myself "Wow.....it's that bad is it?"

We didn't really target Sheldrick it seems . Only two we have clearly targeted are Erasmus and Cameron

With Reidy I think if we wanted him he would have joined by now
