Multiplat Darksiders 2

I thought the first game was OK but was not really hyped for this because it looked more of the same. But this week they've revealed the additions they've made to the game and it sounds so much more appealing. Loot and customisation makes any game infinitely more appealing IMO. I wish more games implemented it.

I am very hyped for Darksiders 2, loved the first one, and the sequel is supposed to be so much bigger (content-wise/map-wise). This will be my first purchase in a little while actually, as there hasn't been much that I have been hyped about; but I guess now until Xmas there will be some good games like Borderlands 2, Sleeping Dogs, and I hope GTA V.

Loot and customisation you say?

hmmmmm me thinks I may buy.

I rage quit the last game as I got auto saved just before a huge battle with next to no life and hadn't done a proper save for about 6hrs. Couldn't win and didn't want to re-do.

I guess I'll save more often.

Manual saves are a gamer's best friend, especially when it comes to RPGs.

The only thing bad about the first one was the stupid trophies. I hope there's no more 'ride your horse for 200 miles' when you're only required to ride about 20 in the game and there's no reason to keep exploring afterwards.

It had a horse. Damn I gave up to early.

just started playing darksiders 2 but so far theyve improved it in just about everyway possible, really enjoying it. Also got very good reviews from most websites from what ive seen

Enjoying it too, finally received it on Friday, have played about 6 hours. While I felt it started a bit slow, after the third hour I found myself getting more and more into it. I was a big fan of the first Darksiders too.

Would love for it to have a double jump button, but so far it is a good game and I can tell it will only get better.

only started playing the 1st darksiders today. Not really that impressed after the first 3-4 hrs...someone tell me it gets good???
I never finished it, got stuck on a level about half way through and brought new game can't remember, but I never returned.

Didn't play the first one but I'm having a ton of fun with the second. The Crucible is painful if you don't have a weapon with lifesteal.

What's the customisation like?
Not bad. Skill-wise you have 2 talent trees you can spec into; one for casting/summoning ghouls (not 100% sure, haven't really looked into it) and one for melee fighting. You can buy respecs from a vendor as well for a small cost.

There's a ton of loot you can get that comes in the white-green-blue-purple-possessed format as well. There are chests everywhere and a healthy amount of bosses so loot should never be a problem. With the possessed weapons you can upgrade them 5 (?) times by sacrificing other equipment. When you upgrade them you can choose a stat to add/increase as well.

How do I know if the Crucible code worked? So far there has been nothing in-game to confirm if I have access to it. Do I come across it by progressing through the story?

Not sure what a Crucible code is but the Crucible unlocks near the end of the first world (the one with the Makers) if I remember correctly. You should get mail in your letterbox from the guy who runs it with an invitation.

Ah, okay. I got a code with my pre-order that was for the Crucible and Destiny Despair. Thanks for the info.

So I finally got around to playing this. I've just beaten Basileus, and now I have a primary mission marker that says, "Return the dead souls to the dead lord". When I travel there and talk to the dead lord (who is exactly where the mission marker is), he says, "You're wasting my time." and nothing happens. Anybody able to help?

EDIT: I figured it out, the marker was in the complete wrong place.
