Talent wise they are equal but daveys ability to turn a game with one 'flash' of brilliance gives him this one. also, what the kangas would give to have someone like davey who would possibly bring another 2000 people in the gate every week...wells would not have gone at 2 in any other draft 9except for maybe in the late 80's when the hawks took alex macdonald at #1!)

You'd have to say Davey. Especially when you consider one of htem was pick number 2, the other was a late PSD pick.

Wells should be better than he is, I do think that in a year or two, Wellsy will be ahead by a big margin - but that's just my prediction. I reckon he will come accross to the MFC when his contract is up, and these guys will be our starting wingmen.

I don't think so. Wells is good but can't keep the consistency of someone like Davey and he's been in the AFL long enough that he should really be starting to make his mark now. He'll be good and has the potential but I don't think he'll ever be a true 'superstar' of the game.
