We are supposedly going to get Suicide Squad Ayer cut too. Which would make sense since all the footage is already sitting somewhere. Just needs to be edited back in.

The initial trailer for SS set up a really good tone, but in the case of Ayer's cut I'm not too optimistic, if it can improve the film that much.

If I remember correctly they got the company that put together the trailers to do the final cut of the film.

That is what i was watching online last night, Snyder's trilogy;

Part 1 - kinda what we saw but more background on the JL characters, Aquaman, Cyborg, Flash. Steppenwolf/Darkseid to bring back superman/Kill lois and he would battle against JL. JL defeat steppenwolf - Darkseid kills steppenwolf. JL get a glimpse of Darkseid.....Hal jordan was also to appear

Part 2 - JL go into space and fight Darkseid, lose and return to Earth and it looks like the Knightmare scene we saw

Part 3 - JL round 2 against Darkseid, but the win everyone is happy again

Ive read similar. The JL supposedly get their asses handed to them on Apokolips in the second film, Earth is then Omega stamped and the Knightmare sequence plays out.

Darkseid kills Lois in Batcave, in front of Bruce which is why he’s blamed for it. Shortly after Clark was to fall to the ALE, which is something I always wanted to see play out.

Having said that, even when I read through the backbone of the trilogy stories, the ambition far outweighs Snyder’s talent I feel. Without the necessary support and investment in the characters, the films likely would’ve been plagued with issues, given this is the guy that delivered MoS and BvS.

I’m keen to see how his version of Justice League plays out. Beyond this instalment though, this entire arc will never happen.

Their comic con debut trailer was sensational. The end product though was something else. My understanding though is that, unlike the Ultimate Edtion of BvS (which is a very different film; not just an “extended cut”) the bulk of the Suicide Squad film remains.

Ayer already released a slightly longer version when it was released on blu ray, that movie was flawed from the outset I feel in choosing the wrong villain. Enchantress was a poor choice.

Who's cut is it after Snyder's go?

Surely Affleck gets the next turn at fixing Justice League.

Affleck is done and his Batman iteration has ended. It’s being rebooted, The Batman is due October 2021.

I'm a big RPattz fan but I wouldn't mind seeing an Afflect cut of Justice league. I heard Gal Gadot ain't too bad behind the camera either. We'll eventually get that masterpiece we all crave.

Fingers crossed, the tone for that was all over the place.
Probably still poor but not messy.

Yes Pattinson is a quality actor and Im loving everything I’m hearing so far about The Batman.

Affleck was originally slated to write and direct his own solo film. In front of the camera, he’s done now. Was battling quite a few personal demons and unfortunately had a heavy reliance on alcohol during his training prep and filming of his scenes.

Not sure if he’s even going to reappear for pick up shoots for the Snyder cut (if it’s even needed). Voice recording is very different.

But whether he’s back later on as writer/director, who knows. For all the shit that he cops, he’s actually a pretty good filmmaker.

Affleck likely hoped to be DC's Robert Downey Jr but as the bad reviews and not great box office totals piled up lost interest.

Month old article but sounds good

It’s very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It’s told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it’s going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.

So Cavill apparently in talks to return as Superman but not in his own movie. People are saying it would be probably in Shazam 2 or Black Adam.
Which kinda makes sense since The Rock produces those movies and his wife or ex-wife is Cavills agent. So seems like they are trying to leverage WB to get him back in the role.

Im just reading between the lines here but doesnt sound like WB really had plans to use him again or make a man of steel sequel.

Warner Bro's rejected Christopher McQuarrie's proposal for the MoS sequel, which is baffling because he is probably one of the best and consistent blockbuster directors working today.

At the same time I'm not surprised by the studios decision considering the chaotic mess they've has been in since BvS.

Things are looking more stable now with change of heads in various management roles and the buy out by AT&T Mobile.

I hope there's a proper sequel, I wouldn't be disappointed if it's another cameo, shared film. Would love to see Faora return.

A good death is its own reward.

I dont think she was suppose to survive her ending. As much as she was a good character it would undo the colonels sacrifice to bring her back.

They’re in the phantom zone, I don’t believe they’re dead (not that I’m keen to see her back or anything). Man of Steel should’ve had a proper sequel, addressing the fallout from the battle of Metropolis.

Obviously that ship has sailed now, but encouraging news that Cavill is still thereabouts.

Would the colonel and the scientist be alive then? You would assume not.

Haha no, was trying to think of some comics. I’m sure it’s slipped my mind though. Non Kryptonians have, however struggling to think of a human.

Probably Batman.

Also love that you are still rocking the Bale/Nolan bat symbol as an av. I watched Rises the other day, dont care what anyone says I love that movie.
