Easily one of my favourite games ever. First one was fantastic in its own right. Its amazing they managed to top it.

I agree on the
Ishimura part, the leadup to the action in there was so intense.

I've thought about it, but i was struggling for ammo even on normal mode. Would hate to think how bad it would be on Impossible.

well, i'm struggling for ammo on impossible, in fact i'm done in all but my cutter.

best way to conserve ammo is to use surroundings, evade and melee if you're find yourself using to much ammo. it's always good to use the enemies limbs against them. :D

put in 2 hours today and arrived at chapter 10 ...

when you first jump aboard the ishimura again. does anyone remember the part where the fat thing jumps out from the crates with the yellow weak points to shoot? that is exactly where i was before i started.

playing this on the harder levels has made me appreciate it more. it's intense as hell; it will make you rage to no end but it's amazing. :D

Well i'm on Dead Space 2 playing it on Zealot. Was enjoying the challenge, there is really no room for error on Zealot. You mess up your Stasis, you're basically done for. And the challenge is managable, only just i might add, that is until you hit Chapter 13. It;s like the whole game up until that point was the calm before the storm, you come up to that room that will forever be known to me as the "real" Red Rings of Death. The 3 story bit you have to fight and hack your way through before meeting a Brute at the bottom, well if that doesn't give me nightmares for the rest of my days, i don't know what will. Streuth! And believe me, it doesn't let up. Not one bit.

It's going to be one of those satifying moments when you complete it and can tell people how much of a pain in the arse it was! lol.

Well i finished it. And i definitely wouldn't recommend anyone start a 1st playthrough on Zealot if you don't have any weapons carrying over. Never have enough credits to buy nodes to upgrade your weapons etc. So by the end i only had my rig about 75% done, my stasis 90% done and my plasma cutter about 90% done. Chapters 13-15 would surely not be possible to complete without doing stasis and legging it. I done the last section of the game doing that and i barely had enough ammo and health for the final boss. (Which wasn't the greatest compared to Dead Space 1.)

Anyway, enjoyable game, but lost a bit of the suspense and tension that the 1st installment had. The controls felt a lot more fluid, but i'm not too sure if i prefer it. I felt the rigid performace suited the game more for some reason?
