If i ****ing hear that you are happy with your efforts in the last quarter after the crap you served up for the first 3, I will tear down Westpac Centre myself.

How the **** can you play that well in the last 30 mins after playing so badly for the first 90???

Agreed, but we were only good in the last as North were impersonating witches hats in the last they were gone, being one down all game.(Pretty much what Scott said at 3/4 time i reckon, just act like witches hats in the last boys, we should still be able to hang on.)
Dont let the last quarter fool us, we are very ordinary.
What sucks the most is that of all years to come bottom 3, this is the worst. Draft concessions and all. Ouch!

Mainly because North Melbourne were up by 9 goals at 3/4 time and took their foot off the pedal.
i don't call 54 points up to 9 points up a easing off the pedal, bringing 60 back to 40 is easing up

If by some freak of nature we had won the game it would still be shit.

Some say you should never change just for the sake of changing, well maybe we should throw that one out the window along with season 2010.

sorry i should have explained further

we did this week what we did last week, why are we doing this so late in the game?

why can't we start off like this?

its coming, and it sickens me that we all know there will a small number of people - and we all know who they are - who will come in and tell us all about how it proves the gameplan works, how we have turned the corner, how it validates our training regime, how the players believe in craig etc etc etc.

which those who watched the game know is untrue, each and every point untrue.

as coopers says, the cue was well and truly in the rack.

we are the epitome of downhill skiers. only when the pressure is off can we build momentum.

we were as bad today as any game this season.

Worse. The first 3 quarters were the most insipid football I've seen the Crows play in years. This was far worse than the Carlton shemozzle, which was our previous worst game this season.

The last quarter was nothing but junk time. Brad Scott will be ropeable with his team for taking their foot off our throats. This should have been a massive percentage booster for them - a 100+ point victory. To win by just 9 points after all their efforts in the first 3 quarters would be a bitter disappointment.

G Healy on foxsports news has described Adelaide as Embarrassing and I tendto agree

In fairness to North they were spent for totally out working us for 3 qtrs with one man down and to their credit they set up a match winning lead by 3 qtr time

our effort and attitude is well below par and this is reflected in our contested ball, the question is why?

i know i haven't agreed with you in the past, but this time i agree with every word you have just said...

Blatantly obvious that the Roos put the cue in the rack.

Last week's last quarter vs Richmond was, well, Richmond.

Yes, it was.

I was fantasizing about NC dragging the players to the goal end where the supporters were, and making them remove their guernsey's.

Quite a few blokes need a slap. I guarantee you if you gave me 200k to walk onto a football field 22 times a year, I'd at least bloody give it everything I had.

There haven't been many times I was embarrased to be a supporter of this club.

If the halftime message didn't involve NC tearing a vocal cord, I want a new coach.

I want to see smashed phones, popping veins, flying saliva ... and not just from me anymore!

Why?

How can he make a rational decision if he doesn’t have his own cognitive process in order?

How will that help?

He doesn’t have to yell, scream and get in someone face to show his disappointment.

The problem is most of our midfielders have had an injury interrupted pre-season and have issues running out games, which is why we do so many rotations. I think the only guys that played in the middle that had a full pre-season were Harvey and Bastinac.

I don't think Scott will be doing cartwheels letting that big lead slip but realistically, we are 4/4 after 8 rounds, it is a fair effort given the side we are sticking on the park. Even when things aren't going great he still leaves players in their position to learn some valuable lessons for the future, most coaches would have put the full on flood after the first few goals were kicked in the last quarter.

That's 2 more midfielders with a full pre-season than Adelaide can claim...

Which explains why we ran out the game better....

Come on mate the injuries excuse is dead surely. Last 2 weeks we have run out the game far stronger than our opponents.

We have been SHIT when the game is on the line and need to focus on that.

Was at the game sitting in the MC and had internet connection and was posting on as well as watching the Lions/Cats game and the game that was on the field.

I truly believe that this season is very salvagable - perhaps even a run to the Finals.

The last quarter was a bad one by the Roos but a lot of credit must go to the Crows. Not enough to hold their heads high after the insipid play of the first three quarters but enough that there is a glimmer of sunshine coming through for your club in the near future.

May be too late to have a run to the Finals but if 10 wins gets you there it is not improbable that the Crows could turn around their season post-break and come back and be nigh on impossible to beat in the second half of the season.

Reminds me of Carlton circa 1998. Carlton started 1-8 on that season (winning the first then losing the next eight games) and didn't make the finals but made it to the Grand Final the following year. That season Carlton had five really close losses and Adelaide is on the same path again this season.

The talent is there. I wish for your sakes that NC was a better motivator. Perhaps light a fire under their asses and watch them go! I still find your mob when they're playing well, which they really haven't save for patches of games this season to be more one of the more entertaining teams/styles to watch (never enjoyed watching my own team get their asses handed to them as I did at the end of last season).

Good luck!
