Koula played well in the SANFL - played for the state team from memory, or at least there was a lot of fuss because more West players didn't make it, something like that. He's much mroe a guarantee that what you're likely to get at 44 or later ...

Just to clarify this he didn't make the state team, just missed out. There weren't so many West players in the team and some people thought there should have been more considering that they were going so well.

He might have just missed out on the Advertiser Team of the Year but he was never a chance to make the State Team as AFL listed players are ineligible.

He also 'just missed' the FootySA.com team. And yes, I know that the official state team doesn't allow AFL players, however both the Advertiser and FootySA teams are done at the end of the premiership season (during the finals) and take into account the whole seaso's performance and as such (IMO) are kinda more reliable as they don't go on half a season or one game, as Bradshaw was rushed in and the criteria waived after his ten-goal haul against North.

Luke Molan is a chance 25% to be listed but a 90% chance to be rookied. Moorcroft is a chance to go to Carlton, but i would also say Richmond might use a pick on him.

I think we've wasted enough picks trying to get a small forward over the past few years and given our lack of height in defence, I would suggest we will be getting players a little taller than Moorcroft.

-McLaren as versatile tall
-Jarrad Wright as midfielder/utility
-Shane Morrison (if available) as a forward

also rookies, Nick Raines (son of Geoff) and Paul Shelton
from the state league Morningside premiership player Matt Pardew is worth it
