What I never understood aout the White situation, was there a PSD back then?
Why did we trade so much for him, if we could have just taken him in the PSD? I have to assume we were either forced, or that option wasn't available.

More than happy to deal with that headache if it means we throw Martin back, Clark forward, Watts forward and Jamar in the ruck.
Best thing about our backline is that Frawley and Garland are so versatile that they can play small if required, and accomodate Martin back there to boot.

That's a shit tonne of talent in the backline, and height to boot. Absolute nightmare for any team wanting to bomb it in high.

Looks reasonable to me, with a lot of room for improvement.
Gotta be big Johnny Tilbrook for mine. For all the hype, he didn't amount to much.

Getting a player in his prime like Clark would be a massive coup. He has not peaked yet. Nowhere near it...Oh maybe in 2009! I don't see him suited at all to full forward. But CHF...Perfect for him to run around on the "G" & use his athleticism.
Big forwards like this don't come around too often. This is why we are so keen to get Tippett to the Lions.
LouisCK, Peter Moore was a very mobile ruckman for Collingwood. I can remember watching the 77 Grand Final. Moore kicked a bag at full forward. Great player in his day. If I'm not mistaken, he moved to Melbourne in the early 80's under Barassi.

That media report has been amended to suggest we are offering upwards of 500k for 4 years.
No doubt Clark would ruck on occasion, but I think we would be recruiting him as a full forward who is able to push up to CHF.
We already have Stefan Martin doing a good job as second ruck to Mark Jamar - and we will need to give a few games to young Max Gawn along the way.

That was the apparent offer mentioned on radio here this evening.
Though the fact it could just be a journo making up crap has crossed my mind.

I reckon we will end up offering pick 12 plus one of our second round picks.

He would only come to us because we would be paying him alot, most other clubs wouldn't be able to fit him under the salary cap.

OR... we throw up that offer and let Clark and his management know that we have an offer on the table to Brisbane already that shows we can not only offer him the right contract but we have already got the deal ready to go. All we would then need is his okay and it's done. Freo can then get stuffed.

Clark will choose FREO purely at the fact he is back at home , close to all his family. $ difference between the two club offers when annualized is minimal.
Hmm i think Brisbane are making a statement, they wont accept a substandard offer him.
