Geez without looking to closely, that seems a great deal for the bombers. Essendong wont be doing much in the draft this year when they trade for Stringer/Saad but worth it to get 2 guns in Smith & Stringer and decent player in Saad

Awesome deal for Essendon - I thought getting 24 back was already slightly in their favour, but to upgrade theird future 3rd to a future 2nd is pretty sweet as well. Great job, Dodoro - the 'hard to work with' hype is false; he's a great list manager.

Giants should be happy with a top pick as well. I wonder who they're eyeing off? Hunter Clark could fit in well.

Great trade for Essendon, Gives them plenty of picks to satisfy gold coast for saad and gets future picks in in case they decide to trade a future for stringer! Oh and throw in a bloke who finished 3rd in GWS b&f only 3 years ago. great get!

I think we're looking at him to move into the midfield. We could do with another goal kicking mid that can kick from 50+ metres out. At worst, he's an upgrade on Green that will provide us with some much needed forward pressure.

At the risk of turning it into a fap thread, Dodoro's work over the past few years given the cards he's been dealt (loss of draft picks, contracted players wanting out) has been absolutely brilliant. It's amazing what he's been able to do with the list.

Hes unproven in the midfield though. Big risk to recruit somebody on the premise that you intend to reinvent them .

As you say hes an upgrade on Green.....who you only recruited 12 months ago and presuambly rated then....and youre also chasing Stringer....just wondering how youre going to fit them all in the forward pocket.
