Considering you weren't going to get in the top 4 anyway unless two results went your way, it probably makes sense to rest some players with niggling injuries. When you do it on the verge of finals, it is strategy. When you do it on the verge of draft picks, it is tanking. Truth be told, flirting with form aside, the match probably had no real meaning (much like the Blues game v Melbourne). If we did we are ****en stupid flirting with form, it didnt look like us out there we didnt seem to want to take risks and there was some strange selections i believe all of fraser, Didak and Rusling were fit enough to play.

The Crows were all out, you guys didn't have the same motivation and you still pushed them. It is likely you will take the Crows on again next week but with 3 key 'ins' who are a lot fresher.

I agree, and we'll be back at the MCG where we're 10/15 instead of 0/3.Considering you weren't going to get in the top 4 anyway unless two results went your way, it probably makes sense to rest some players with niggling injuries. Malthouses coaching and game plan was pitiful last night, he has no idea against teams who flood.
You had 2 teams out there last night with different motivations
1 team was going all out to win to keep their season alive
The other team could have put it all on the line and won but then would be relying on other unlikely results meaning they ran themselves ragged for nothing or they could try but never really go full on knowing that the following week they would be fresher than their opponents on a preferred ground
Collingwood gained more from just keeping the pressure on Adelaide but not beating them than they would have by winning

We beat Sydney twice who use similar gameplans. Hell we beat Adelaide @ AAMI.
