Milking a free is one thing - it's been done through the years by a multitude of players too many to list here. But to leave a guy hang at the tribunal ...........well, I don't know. I thought at least we could have given them some sort of report from our doctor that Monfries did not suffer any injury at all.

We did.
We left King "to hang" every bit as much as he did Lewis, ie the medical report said no injury. I don't think Monfries was actually asked about the force.

His only other course of action was to lie to try and clear him, and risk the $20k fine that they hung on Campbell Brown 2-3 years ago. Not our responsibility.
MRP went after Lewis. Not Monfries.

Unsure exactly which result this would've changed, not like the Pies game was a cliff-hanger.

Correct me if I'm wrong, both Lewis & Gus were Adelaide kids from the same draft year? You'd think they'd know each other reasonably well.

I'm thinking he had a confrontation with Lewis and other players outside of the game - which may be why he brought it up and admitted to it - to clean his "reputation" amongst the players of all clubs.

May have been a "Look, I know I stuffed up, and I'll show my dignity by putting my balls on the chopping block, happy?" kind of thing.

Cool story.

Don't think that happened though.

Grown men are not that submissive and football clubs definitely are not. Except when it comes to vlad and his mates

For the record, by "confrontation", I didn't mean anything aggressive or submissive - just a normal chat.

With that said, it was only a thought, not a fact of any sort.
