Do we lack hard players?

Thinking about our list, we do really need an enforcer in our midfield... Do we have anyone on our list that can potentially have a serious impact on our midfield hardness? Our younger midfielders have the talent but toughness is something we are lacking wouldn't you agree?

Do we have any young draftees that have shown glimpses of exactly what we need in the physical department?

There is no doubt we lack that bit on "mongrel" all over the ground.

There are a few guys that have potential be that sort of player, but they haven't consolidaed their position in the side yet. I'm talking about the likes of Bentick, Hartlett, Kennedy, Bower & Bryan.

Unfortunatley French, DeLuca & Whitnall are not that type of player.

Fevola & Waite are really the only two IMO that try and throw their weight around on a consistent basis at the moment.

Bring on a few of the young big blokes!

It's plainly obvious to most supporters that our list is nowhere near where it needs to be. We get that shoved in our face at every opportunity from all and sundry. We don't need our "own" supporters bashing the club at every opportunity as well.

I never said you were wrong, I was purely pointing out the the fact that your posts of late are so aggressive and always with a negative slant. Hense I was wondering if you actually had anything positive to say about the club?

I do have a couple of positive things to say... however the opportunity rarely presents itself. The bootstudder is a good bloke.... and Fev's missus goes alright.

I thought you were an Essendon supporter trolling so ignored you. However I realise now you are a Carlton supporter living in Essendon.
So happy to answer your 'tongue in cheek comments".

Hard players : Yes we do lack them. Bentick will help and so will Josh Kennedy when he is ready. Wait for Hartlett in the NAB comp.
Talent : Yes we do and are addressing that in every draft by picking best available and not trading away any of our first 3 picks on recylced players.
Increased money spent on recruiting for next year and 2 'development' assistant coaches brought in.
Key Defenders : Hartlett was drafted last year and Bower this year. As well as Raso and Edwards with later picks who are bottom aged and speculative picks.
Running recievers : Kade Simpson has slowly come on. Nick Stevens fills that role. We need more.
Depth : We have KPP depth ( a lot are unproven and young though) but not enough midfield depth.

While I was winding you people up to an extent, I think the comments I made re our list are actually pretty accurate. Nobody has disagreed.

Well it's not really a troll.... I made a comment, the comment is right, nobody had challenged it. It was just worded in a way that might stir up a few Blues supporters.

Do we lack running receivers? running / receiving players only look good when they are fed the ball from under the packs, this comes back to not having enough hard players

Do we lack decent key defenders? ATM we do, but we are working to address this, we have thornton, add saddington and hopefully livo or one of the kids can take the next step

Do we lack depth? yes in the midfield and backline we do. we have addressed our ruck deoth issues and we have an abundence of fwd players both key and mid sized, depth- this come back to players not fullfilling their potential

Do we lack optimistic supporters? not really, most supporters including me were very optimistic after last years WC win, but after last year we have realised there are no quick fixes in AFL, the road back for CFC is a long one, most supporters are realistic with what we can acheive in 2006, rather than ranting and raving on with blind optimism

Parrots posts are even headed well considered posts on the true nature of our position. I think you will find mine are the overly optimistic ones.
