I met my wife when she worked for the Bulldogs, she was a lifelong dedicated supporter. So were her sisters, I thought "well this is cool because I like the Bulldogs", but they were venomous towards Geelong because we canned them in all those finals in the early 90's... I defrosted them though, she was very happy for me in 2007
If I'm still alive when the Bulldogs make a grand final, I'll go and wear her old scarf. But if they play Geelong I'll be wearing two scarves and I'll look like a schizzo
She passed in '08 from cancer, since then my girlfriends have not been interested in footy, I tried to convert them, no luck. They were all "I don't get what the fuss is about"... I'm like "some people think that football is a matter of life and death.... they're wrong, it's far more important than that" (quote from the great man Teddy Whitten)
