Review Dogs Downed By Freo: God we are plain and boring. What happened to The Men of Mayhem?

Wasn't bad like last week, but still a disappointing result. English has had two good games in a row. Richards played his best game of the season. Smith showed why he was rated as a junior.

Questions need to be asked about our poor decision making and constant turnovers. And why we seem to be physically out bodied at every contest. Was it a game we could have won if we cleaned things up? S**t yes! But they made us pay on turnovers each time, and we wasted our forward 50 entries as usual.

We should won 2 of the last 3 games on paper. Which is disappointing because now we have a very tough stretch of games to come.

I know Hunter copped a bit of crap tonight, but he was every where. McLean finished strong after barely touching it in the first half.

Our three "stars", Bontempelli, Libba and Macrae have been ineffective the past two weeks. They are meant to be leading by example, but currently the rest of the team is carrying those three.

There’s not an easier team to play against at the moment. Really sad to see this club go from premiers to irrelevance again so quickly. Think it’s going to take several well thought out and targeted drafts to solve the glaring issues. Team has a crack but skill level is just not good enough.

Dogs could have had that. But Freo showed that kicking at the right length into the forward 50 with forwards that attack and move creates opportunities. Our kicking was woeful. We couldn't hit a.shed door with a handful of stones from 5 metres. We need an intervention on this kicking. It's atrocious.

It was a better showing. We stayed with them for a large part of the game but we're overwhelmed in the first 10 minutes of the last quarter.

Did well at the stoppages again as we've come to expect even with what I'd call down games from Libba, Macrae and Bont. Just got absolutely smashed in the air all night, whether they marked it or won the crumb. That goal where Daniel, Wood and McLean were all outmarked by much taller opponents summed up the game pretty well. We just didn't have the cattle to match them aerially.

Smith and English were two of the bright spots. Smith us getting better every game and English really looked at home today. Took some nice marks and used the ball well.

Got to find a way to score. It's looking harder and harder by the week.

Gowers 0 marks and 0 tackles.

When he isn't marking the ball he provides absolutely nothing when the ball hits the ground. He has 3 i50 tackles for the whole year. Less than Timmy bloody English. No defensive work rate in an era where f50 pressure is so so important.

But unfortunately Bevo will never drop him because his stubborn pride means a moral victory over Dalrymple is more important than winning games of football.

Who would win between the McCartney lead bulldogs outfit and this current rabble? It’s an amazing 360 that’s happened that the current team is playing with the same dispirited style that the McCartney coached sides were so well renowned for.
